Sub: Advertisement for various posts in the Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Division of MHRD at AICTE on purely contractual basis.

The Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has

directed to set up Indian Knowledge Systems Division of MHRD to be operated from

AICTE with special mandate to take initiative and contribute towards spreading the rich

heritage of our country and traditional knowledge systems.

Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Division of MHRD will actively engage for

spreading the rich heritage of our country and traditional knowledge i.e. Arts, Music, Dance,

Drama, Culture, Agriculture, Water Harvesting, Environment and Sustainability, Health,

Ayurveda, NadiPariksha (Pulse examination), Yoga, Mathematics, Science and Technology,

Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology, Astronomy, Energy sources, Panchang, Jyotish Vigyan,

Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Architecture, Temple Architecture,

Materials and Mechanical Engineering, Musical Instruments, Philosophy, Psychology, Geo

Archaeology, Social Sciences, Management, Governance, Economics, Language, Literature,

Linguistics, Sports, Mantras, Genetics, Embryo, Gynaecology, Computational Sanskrit,

Ancient universities, Effective teaching learning systems etc. The Division will also work on

creating awareness, and carrying out research, identifying scholars, writing of authentic

books, development of portal etc. as referred above.

IKS Division of MHRD will work under the supervision of Chairman of AICTE and MHRD.

The IKS Division of MHRD will have following positions, purely on contractual basis, to be

filled from amongst professionals who have distinguished working experience mentioned in

the above areas:

1. Post- Chief Coordinator [01-on contract]

Fixed Remuneration

Rs.1.25 Lakh per month (inclusive of all allowances)

Age Preferably below 65 years.

Period Initially for a period of two years and extendable further for one more year

Essential (i) Qualifications: Bachelors/Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution. (ii) Experience:

Retired Bureaucrat/ Scientist/ Professor/ Academician/Educationist

Having relevant experience in the field of spreading rich heritage of

our country and traditional knowledge systems, research,

educational planning or administration, training etc.

Preference (i) Ph.D./ Research experience in one of the areas of IKS or administrative experience.

(ii) Passion and track record / expertise in any of the chosen IKS domains is necessary.

2 Post- Coordinator [02-on contract]

Fixed Remuneration

Rs.1.00 Lakh per month (inclusive of all allowances)

Age Not exceeding 50 years.

Period Initially for a period of two years and extendable further for one more year.

Essential (i) Qualifications: Bachelors/ Master’s degree or equivalent from a recognized institution. (ii) Experience:

Relevant experience in the field of promoting research, educational

planning or administration, training etc.

Preference (i) Ph.D. in relevant subject (ii) Project / program management skills (iii) Ability to network with institutions / individuals involved in IKS (iv) Passion and track record / expertise in any of the chosen IKS

domains is necessary.

3 Post- Research Fellow [02-on contract]

Fixed Remuneration

Rs.40,000 per month (inclusive of all allowances)

Age Not exceeding 35 years.

Period Initially for a period of two years and extendable further for one more year.

Essential (i) Qualifications:

Post Graduate degree in the relevant area.

(ii) Experience: Having 2 years minimum experience in the field of areas related to IKS.

Preference (i) Ph.D. in relevant subject (ii) UGC NET/JRF(wherever applicable)

2. The prescribed qualifications are the minimum and mere possession and fulfilment of the

essential and desirable qualifications for a post does not entitle the candidate to be called

for interview.

3. Interested candidates may apply online in AICTE Web portal website (https://www.aicte-

india.org/bulletins/advertisements) on or before 03.07.2020. Proforma for applying online

will be available on AICTE and MHRD website (https://mhrd.gov.in) w.e.f. 20.06.2020.

4. A candidate has to submit separate online applications, if he/she desires to apply for

more than one post(s).

5. The candidates short-listed for interview will be informed by e-mail. The Council will not

be responsible if the ID provided is incorrect or mailbox is left unchecked.

6. Original Educational Qualifications, Proof of Age, Experience etc. should be produced

only at the time of interview. However, self-attested photocopies of testimonials may also

be uploaded with the application in support of educational qualifications and experience

etc.

7. The decision of the Council/ MHRD in respect of selections shall be final and no

correspondence in this regard will be entertained. Canvassing in any type from any

source will disqualify the candidature of the applicant.
