ALL FLOORSFOR LEARNING
Design freedom with safety assured
Polysafe Modena PUR is a supreme collection of micro-granite vinyl flooring options, marrying the worlds of high design and function, taking safety flooring to a completely new level.
With colours tuned to work together to aid navigational design or zoned areas, an individual, contemporary floor surface can be achieved that represents modern and imaginative design trends.
Imperceptible to the eye, the safety aggregates increase the traction and friction between foot and floor, offering underfoot confidence in areas where there are potential risks of spillages.
Typical areas include corridors, circulation and reception areas and classrooms. Other areas where slip resistance is an important consideration include washrooms, WCs and changing rooms.
Commercial safety floors offering sustainable wet slip resistance must meet:
EN 13845 Abrasion 50,000 cycles
36+ Pendulum Wet Test
Slip resistance is assured throughout guaranteed life of the product and adheres to HSE Guidelines.

Flagship Polyflor ranges forHoly Cross CollegeLeading Polyflor ranges Pearlazzo PUR, Polysafe Modena
PUR and Kudos PU have been specified and installed in a
£3.2m new build development at Holy Cross College in Bury,
Lancashire. A total of 2000m² was installed throughout the
three storey teaching facility by Stockport based HVB
Flooring Services Ltd.
Specified for circulation and classroom areas, Pearlazzo
PUR delivers the inherent low maintenance and durability
benefits expected of a Polyflor homogeneous PUR product
while pushing the boundaries of vinyl flooring decoration.
Peter Woods continued ‘Environmental considerations have
been a prominent issue in this new build project where we
aimed to achieve no less than a BREEAM very good rating.
We chose Polyflor as the ranges are individually BRE A+
rated in education settings and 100% recyclable via
Recofloor, the industry leading recycling scheme’.
Polysafe Modena PUR was the safety floor of choice in the
installation. Combining all the tried and tested Polysafe
credentials with the look of a smooth decorative floor,
Modena PUR was specified in both classroom and toilet
areas. Importantly Polysafe Modena also meets the EN13845
50,000 cycles abrasion test, a key indicator of sustainable
wet slip resistance. As with all Polysafe ranges, the slip
resistance of Polysafe Modena PUR is assured for the
guaranteed life of the product.
The appeal of all 14 shades in the collection is protected
by Polysafe’s class-leading cross-linked and UV cured PUR
maintenance enhancement, to enable optimum appearance
levels and lifecycle maintenance cost savings of up to 60%
when compared to untreated safety floors.

‘Providing a high quality learning environment for our students is extremely important to us and with the effective use of design and colour across the Pearlazzo and Polysafe Modena ranges we achieved this’ Commented Peter Woods,
Vice Principal of the College

Rich in colour and grain, the Kudos planks offer a range of stylish and exotic wood types making it the ideal choice for demanding education facilities. The collection incorporates a polyurethane surface treatment (PU) to meet maintenance requirements, providing an easy to clean flooring option which withstands any food and drink spills.

performance, slip resistance, acoustics and

for today’s modern education facilities.
The home of LOW MAINTENANCE FLOORING
Ease of maintenance has always been a key criterion in
the selection of any floorcoverings. Any client will wish
for their floor to remain in excellent condition throughout
its life and for the cleaning process to be as cost-effective
and straightforward as possible.
Effective maintenance not only has aesthetic and environmental benefits; it also ensures floor performance and prevents undue wear and hygiene problems. Maintenance can be an expensive business and the combination of machinery, materials and labour means that the maintenance of a floorcovering will represent a considerable lifetime cost. Life cycle maintenance costs of a floorcovering by far outweigh the initial purchase and installation costs.
Anything that can be done to make cleaning easier and reduce costs can have a significant impact on facility management budgets. To reflect this, all new ranges are launched with the greatest maintenance and environmental benefits built in, but over the last two years we have continued to add such benefits to existing ranges. These product ranges provide trouble-free maintenance and generate significant life cycle cost savings.
Continuously improving technologies enables flooring to raise the standard in terms of durability, maintenance and performance, sought by the customer.
