ISL is an institute under the aegis of the IBSAR Trust thatalready has the IBSAR Institute of Management Studiesand IBSAR College of Commerce and Science at Karjat.IBSAR Trust is working in the area of professionaleducation since 2004. A group of professionals havingworld class background and credential started IBSARTrust to promote high quality education and training foryoungsters in India.
IBSAR School of Law has been approved by Govt. ofMaharashtra and Mumbai University in the year 2010and started its programme from the academic session of2013. Law is an area, which needs multifaceted talent tokeep our country and democracy functioning andeffective. Hence, the need for 5 year integrated BLS LLBprogramme in Law. After 3 years a student can leaveand pursue other programme like MBA/MA/MSc ifhe/she does not wants to pursue the legal profession andhe shall earn the degree of BLS (Bachelor of LegalStudies) which is at par with any other graduation degreein the country. If one is interested in a legal/judicialcareer, he can spend another 2 years and get BLS LLBdegree to be a practicing advocate on completion of theprogramme.
ISL intends to promote legal awareness in the society, soas to make it responsive to human rights/values with aview to achieve greater social and economic justice. Alsoto provide quality of legal education in order to promotelegal, cultural and ethical values in the students and toinculcate in them a sense of responsibility, as law abidingcitizens and to serve the society in the field of legalservices, law, reforms, policy planning, legislation, etc.
The aim of the law school is to continuously enhance theteaching quality in order to provide students with anopportunity for all- round development. It strives forexcellence in academics and makes an effort to create anaura and inspire students to become the best professionalsin their chosen careers.
The law degree holders can have a lot of chances to findemployment in various Courts of Law and inGovernment Services, besides opportunities ofemployment such as a Public Prosecutor, Solicitor,Attorney general, Advocate General, Notary/OathCommissioner, Legal Advisor and counsel in CorporateIndia.

The College Offers
BLS LLB Five years course (after HSC ie, XllStd.)The course has semester pattern as prescribed bythe University of Mumbai.BLS LLB has ten semesters spread over 5 years. Thereare two semesters every year which are required to becompleted and cleared by the students.
Admission Guidelines
Admission is purely on the base of merit and is subjectto availability of seats as per the direction issued bythe University of Mumbai and Government ofMaharashtra from time to time. If any modification inadmission guidelines will be notified on the collegenotice board at the time of admission.
Admission EligibilityBLS LLB (5Years Course)
A candidate for being eligible for the admission to thefirst year of the five years integrated law courseshould have passed the H.S.C. Examination (Arts,Science or commerce) of the Maharashtra State Boardof Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Puneor its equivalent examination. Bar council of Indiamay from time to time, stipulate the minimumpercentage of marks not below 45% of the total marksin case of general category applicants and 40% of thetotal marks in case of SC and ST applicants, to beobtained for the qualifying examination, such as +2examination in case of an integrated five years course.MAH-CET –Law is compulsory. Other Boardstudents are also eligible.

Study tour to learn andunderstand the Socio-Economic-Legal issues of theIndian society.To prepare research on Legal, aspects of India. Visitsto courts shall be encouraged. Rules of Discipline
Students must attend lectures, practical,tutorials, etc. as per the time table.
Students whose attendance, progress invarious tests, project report and examinationsis not satisfactory are likely to lose their terms.
Every student must wear the Identity card inthe college campus and must not misuse. Incase the Identity Card is lost, inform Principaland apply for a duplicate Identity.
The conduct of the students in the classes andin the premises of the college shall be such aswill cause no disturbance to teachers, fellowstudents or other classes.
Every student shall maintain a formal dresscode while coming to the college.
No student is allowed to display anyNotice/Circular/Poster/Banner in the collegepremises without the prior permission of thePrincipal.
No student will be allowed to conduct anypolitical activity in the college premises.
Outsiders are not permitted in the collegepremises without the prior permission of thePrincipal.
All meetings, cultural programs, debated,elocutions, moot – court etc. organised on thecollege premises must be held in presence ofteaching staff members.
Students must take proper care of the collegeproperty. Strict action will be taken againstdefaulter.
Ragging is strictly prohibited within andoutside the college premises. Studentsindulging in ragging will be punished asper the Maharashtra Prohibition of RaggingAct, 1999
Students involved in malpractices at theCollege: University Examinations will not beadmitted to the college.
Students shall not do anything inside oroutside the college that will interfere with thediscipline of the college or tarnish the image ofthe college.
Students found loitering in college compoundor outside are liable for punishment.
Students must not attend classes other thantheir own without the permission of theauthority concerned.
Students are not allowed to communicate anyinformation about college matters to the Press.
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the collegepremises.
Playing music on Transistors, Tape recorder,car stereos, Mobile telephones or any othergadgets with or without earphones is strictlyprohibited in the college premises.
The college will not be responsible for the lossof their books, valuables and other belongingsin college compound.
Students must read the notice boards regularlyfor important announcements made by thecollege office from time to time.
Matters not covered above will be decided atthe discretion of the Principal.
The smooth functioning of the college depends upon observance of discipline by the students.Parents uardians are requested to direct their wards to observe the following Rules of Discipline:/g
The college library has reading hall for students with huge collection of books & journals ona variety of subjects, handle books with utmost care.The library remains open from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm on all working days, except Sundays.Two books are given at a time for a week.Book Bank Facility is available for students, where set of text books are made available forhome reading to needy and deserving students.The students must refrain from disturbing other readers in the library.Students should maintain complete silence in the reading hall.Violation of these rules shall invite disciplinary action.

INDUSTRIAL VISITS
Industrial visits give students a practicalexposure and an opportunity of relatingtheory to praxis. An industry visit is also anoccasion of fun, adventure, and relaxationand self learning. As part of this initiative,around 55 MCA and BMS students visitedthe Coca Cola factory in Punjab andunderstood the functioning of the business.They also visited Amritsar, Manali andWagah Border. It was a good learningexperience for the students.

SCHOLARSHIPS
As per the Government of Maharashtra DTEand Central Government, rules scholarshipis available to all category of candidatessubject to fulfilling the Government-laidadministrative conditions and submissionof the documents on time.
IBSAR has no role in the decision of thesescholarships. If a candidate fails to submitand clear scholarship documentation fromthe relevant department, he/she will betreated as an open candidate and will have topay full fee, and considered as an 'opencategory candidate' (before he is allowed tosit for the final exam of the year), or as soonas it is known that the government hasdecided to process the category students forscholarship.
