The mission of the Lone Star College–
Tomball Staff Fellows Program is to
nurture a group of professional and
support staff members committed to
being leaders among their peers and in
the community inside and outside of the
college. Cohort members will participate
in activities to discover and reinforce
personal strengths, build effective
teams, serve the community at large,
and discover the principles and

CONNECT THE INITIATIVES
WE ALREADY HAVE AND
SEE AND EXPERIENCE
THEM AS ONE.
STRENGTHEN THE
CONNECTIONS WE
ALREADY HAVE
BRING MEANING TO THE
WORK THAT WAS DONE
LAST YEAR.
TAKE TIME TO BE
PURPOSEFUL.
TO IMPLEMENT.
Connection is correlated with
leadership, engagement,
achievement and relationship. When
we connect with each other, with our
culture, and our students we
succeed. When we are connected –
we are fully present in the
present. When we connect, we
learn. When we connect, our
students have a greater opportunity
to learn.
HOW?
Provide opportunities
for various
components of the
college to connect with
leadership and each
other in purposeful
discussion of College
initiatives.
Form core groups of
College faculty and staff
who have studied
institutional vision and are
committed to sharing with
colleagues.
Encourage
achievement
and
collaboration.
Offer technology-
related and
discipline-specific
training
opportunities as
applicable and
needed for all
employees.
So….let’s not
just tell time,
let’s build a
clock.
