In this composition, Lord Gaura is glorified using
all the letters of the Sanskrit alphabet in order.
adbhuta gua-jaya
hita kali bhayaia janvaka
vara sevaka
All glories to Lord Gaura
[A/a] who has wonderful qualities;[Aa/] who awards fearlessness even to kali-
yugapersonified;
[w/i] who is the protector of his near and dear ones;[wR/] and who is the servant of Sri Ishwar Puri.
uddhaa daana
ha sumaanaju jana sarita
i gaa stuta
All glories to Lord Gaura
[o/u] who chastises the unruly;[O/] who wears exquisite ornaments;[/] who is the shelter of the simple-hearted;[*/] and who is worshiped by the sages.
d-iva tm iva
vad asdhita
ejita durjanaaiya niketana
All glories to Lord Gaura
[/] who sometimes exhibits his ta honest, truthful and enlightened nature, just like
the letter sometimes grammatically exhibits ta
nature (the nature of the letter );
[*/ ] who cannot be attained by materialendeavors, just like the elongated cannot be
pronounced by the material senses;
[W/e] who causes the rascals to tremble;[We/ai] and who is the repository of all prosperity.

[Ma/ma] whose lotus face is very beautiful;[Ya/ya] whose service causes victory over Yamaraj;[r/ra] who bestows abundant rasa;[l/la] and who bestows ones desired goal.

amita bhuvana bhaya
ad-bhuja vkaka
sanmata ikaka

[v/va] who bestows unparalleled mercy;[Xa/a] who extinguishes the fear of the threeworlds;
[Za/a] who demonstrates a six-handed form;[Sa/sa] and who teaches the true path.

[h/ha] who through his speaking ofhari-kath[+a/ka] delights everyone.O my Lord!

ymera gaura-varaa eka dehapmara-jana ithe kara-i sandeha
A dark form and a fair form are now manifest in
one body. The fools and sinners are filled with doubt.
saurabhe gora mrati rasa sra
pkala bhena yaiche phala sahakra
That form is filled with a sweet fragrance. It is
fragrant like a tree bearing ripe mangoes.
gopa-janama puna dvija avatra
nigama n pya-i nigha vihra
In his previous birth he was a gopa. Now hedescends to this world as a brahmin. Even the
scriptures cannot touch his secret pastimes.
prakaa karala hari-nma-vkhna
nr purua mukhe n uniye na
He openly preaches the glories of chanting
Krishnas holy names. Now these names alone and
nothing else is heard from the mouths of the men
and women of this world.
kari gaura-caraa kamala madhu pna
sarasa sagta mdhav dsa bha
Tasting the nectar of the lotus feet of Lord
Gauranga, Madhavi Das sings this sweet song.
