Nolan still isn’t thrilled with bebe Callen yet but he seems to be a bit more understanding that mommy has to feed the baby a lot. Nolan came down with the stomach flu Friday night and then a much needed washing machine broke down too, yikes! Uncle Kip and Aunt Katie weren’t able to come for a visit either as they had a winter storm in Indiana, where they now reside. I guess it was a good thing since Nolan got the flu…so far the rest of us have been ok though! Every time I visit my name changes a bit and “gaga” has now become “gagie,” and I have to say I like my new name of endearment! Not much knitting has been done by “gagie” on this trip as there are two babies to give my love too now…and I need to go to sleep shortly after Nolan does to stay on “Nolie’s schedule.” I got a couple of cute pictures here of Callen in his new blanket knit with Simpliworsted http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/babe-softcotton-chunky-chevron- blanket and his hat knit with organic cotton.

Late tonight I will arrive back home after spending a week with Nolan and his new little baby brother. Nolan still isn’t thrilled with bebe Callen yet but he seems to be a bit more understanding that mommy has to feed the baby a lot. Nolan came down with the stomach flu Friday night and then a much needed washing machine broke down too, yikes! Uncle Kip and Aunt Katie weren’t able to come for a visit either as they had a

winter storm in Indiana, where they now reside. I guess it was a good thing since Nolan got the flu…so far the rest of us have been ok though! Thank you for letting me take pictures of your finished projects each week...your willingness to share inspires others!

“Show & Tell”

I picked up this project at the trade show in January and knit it up over a weekend. My kit came with eight small skeins of yarn which is one of two ways to knit this easy slip stitch cowl. The second way the pattern suggests is to use a skein of Noro Kureyon or Silkgarden and a solid color yarn through out the whole pattern. This is a fun, quick and easy way to work with color. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kaleidoscopic-cowl

Baah Sonoma…a most elegant hand dyed, dk weight, super wash merino wool has now found a home on our shelves at All About Yarn! And Della Q needle cases in a variety of styles.

These ladies are all smiles as they pose for the camera with their just finished garments. Wednesday night Bev is wearing the Blanket Poncho knit with Madelinetosh ASAP. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blanket-poncho-2 And Tuesday night Jody used Tosh Vintage to knit herself a coat from Dovetail designs. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/moss-stitch-jacket-to-knit

Sunday Shelly used Malabrigo Rios to knit the Boxy Worsted sweater. http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/worsted-boxy

Thursday night Nancy is holding up a vest she knit in Madelinetosh Vintage for her husband. The pattern came from and old Noro book called Noro for Men.
