• Water is a Mixture of Substances.A Mixture contains substances that can be taken out

(separated) by physical methods. (eg straining).• A mixture can also be called a Suspension.• Consider a snow dome. • When a substance is suspended in the water for a

time, before it settles, it is called a Suspension.

Let’s Make a Suspension- Glitter Slime

• AimTo Make a Suspension of cornflour in water and

observe its properties• Materials250ml beaker, half teaspoon of glitter, stirring

rod, 2 drops of food colouring, half cup cornflour, 1 tablespoon water.
