What is Reggaeton?

• Reggaeton is a form of Hispanic urban music that became popular with Hispanic teenagers in the 1990’s. It is combined with Jamaican Reggae and many other forms of Spanish music.

Where is it from?

• Many people dispute about the place of origin of reggaeton- whether it comes from Panama or Puerto Rico. Well, it actually comes from Panama where it started as Spanish reggae. It then moved to Puerto Rico where it became reggaeton.

• There are some misunderstandings about the origin of reggaeton.
