This one day course will provide you with the knowledge to successfully perform Lingual orthodontics, using Ormco’s Lingual Straight Wire system, ALIAS; the fi rst passively ligated, square slotted lingual bracket. Attendees will not only learn the basic principles of lingual orthodontics, but also understand the potential of the Straight Wire lingual technique, to maximize e� ciency with each patient.
ATTENDEES WILL LEARN:
› Knowledge of the Lingual Straight Wire concepts, compared to conventional lingual orthodontic techniques.
› Theoretical knowledge and clinical methods for bonding, digital laboratory procedures and treatment sequences.
› Methods of extraction and non-extraction treatments using ALIAS - L.S.W, solving clinical problems such as management of partial or absolute anchorage and cosmetic treatments.
› Process overview for ALIAS case submission and evaluation.

ABOUT DR. GIUSEPPE SCUZZO
Dr. Giuseppe Scuzzo, graduated in medicine in 1983 (Rome University) and specialized in dentistry in 1987 (Rome University) and orthodontics at Ferrara University.
He has always worked exclusively in orthodontics, with a special interest in lingual orthodontics since 1983.
Author of numerous publications (70) regarding this technique, Dr. Scuzzo has spoken and published extensively in Italy and abroad on lingual orthodontics.
He collaborates (as a teacher) with the major European Universities, and is a professor in the lingual technique at Ferrara University and adjunct Professor at Complutense University Madrid. He is also Director of the First International Master in Lingual orthodontics at Ferrara University and Co-Director of the PG Program in Lingual Orthodontics at the Complutense University of Madrid and Basel University, Switzerland. He has lectured extensively in Italy and abroad regarding lingual orthodontics and published 70 article about this technique.Together with Dr. Takemoto he also published 3 books about lingual orthodontics which have been translated into 7 languages.
