This 2013 v intage i s no except ion , and Mother Nature he lped make i t another great growing season. Great aromas the minute i t goes into the g lass . Super ba lance between 50% malo lact ic fermentat ion and a k iss of French oak that keeps the spot l ight on the great f ru i t . Nose : Our Chardonnay makes an impress ion the minute you br ing the g lass to your nose . Lemons, peaches , banana , t ropica l f ru i ts , creaminess , a h int of coconut and vani l la oak . Yum. Mouth : I love to l inger on the nose , but then you tas te i t , and there 's a par ty go ing on r ight here . Al l those great c i t rus and tropica l f ru i t characters come together in a creamy, cr isp , lushness that makes me want to b lend up Al ias Chardonnay frozen cockta i l s and throw a l i t t le umbre l la in the g lass . (Note to se l f : t ry making Al ias Chardonnay frozen cockta i l s ) . There i s just enough oak to g ive i t a touch of toasted bread and vani l la . There i s just enough malo lact ic to g ive the wine a r ich creamy texture , which ba lances wonderfu l ly with the ac id i ty . I 'd love to take some cred i t for th is wine , but th is i s jus t a great example of great f ru i t = great wine . My genius was s tay ing out of the way .
