Appreciated the importance of perseverance in language acquisition whilst in a foreign country. Year 2 Subjects: Studying 3 languages helped to develop my time management skills as I had to reserve sufficient time to improve each language and its respective skillset. My analysis and evaluation of research data, alongside presentation skills and information management was tested to produce a comprehensive report and a summarising poster of an industry in a marketing module. Improved perseverance and prioritisation through my developed time management and meeting deadlines for designing lesson plans. Improved my written communication by giving feedback to both pupils, their parents and my senior advisor. Furthered my innovation and adaptability skills to accommodate the teaching of young Chinese children.

September 2014 – August 2015: PengPals Developed leadership and communicational skills by creating a business whose aim was to integrate international students into Newcastle University life. Gained financial management and income generation ability by designing paid activities for members. Became more responsive to opportunities from communicating with real businesses to provide engaging activities, which were lucrative for Pengpals.

September 2012–Present: Friedmans Limited Developed analysis and data synthesis skills whilst preparing and sorting invoices and translating e-mails fromforeign customers. My time management skills were tested from the breadth of the tasks involved, which expanded to significant manual labour. Further developed my networking and translating skills during foreign trade shows.

September 2016-Present: Silverline Telephone Friend

Enhanced my understanding of equality and diversity by attributing 30 minutes per week to call a lonely, elderly person and enable them to feel valued from our regular communications.

Freshers Week 2014 and 2016:

Developed leadership and collegiality skills as part of a team by helping new students adapt to university life.
