Production in Europe is concentrated at BASF’s largest site in Ludwigshafen and makes use of the benefits of the Verbund structure. The Verbund ensures the supply of raw materials and also enables our products to be manufactured efficiently. 

We have ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2011 certification from DQS GmbH.

Solvents from BASF is part of the business unit Industrial Petrochemicals Europe. As part of BASF’s Petrochemicals operating division, we develop, produce and market a broad range of acrylic monomers and specialty monomers, alcohols, solvents and plasticizers.

Our ProductsOxygenated Solvents from BASF comprise alcohols, glycol ethers and esters. These solvents are used mainly as precursors for coatings and paints. They are also used in products and manufacturing processes for detergents, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, lubricants, adhesives as well as cosmetics and personal care.
