ALU India UMTS RNC team works on Call processing, User Plane, Transport, Platform and the Design Integration(Test & TOOLS).  The RNC has Control Plane Protocols like RRC, RANAP, RNSAP and NBAP and user plane protocols like RLC, MAP and FP. The Design Integration activity involves bringing up the RNC and testing functionality of the RNC along with Stability and Capacity. During the testing, Catapult is used to simulate the rest of the network elements like UE, NodeB and the Core Network.

1.     UMTS RNC Test & TOOLS  Mandatory Skills-       Experience in UMTS/GPRS/CDMA/LTE/WiMax-       Thorough understanding of wireless communication systems-       Hands on experience in Feature Testing (including Test case development, Execution)-       Experience in setting up test environments, Test strategy creation.-       Excellent problem solving and trouble shooting skills-       Excellent Debugging and Log analysis skills-       Good knowledge in RRC, NBAP, RANAP and Call flows.-       Experience in any of the scripting languages like Perl, TCL/tk, etc. Desirable Skills-       High expertise in wireless standards (UMTS/CDMA/GPRS/LTE)-       Good UTRAN concepts.-       Experience with Catapult and DCPL scripting on Catapult-       Catapult or any other TOOL to simulate the Network elements in Wireless.-       Automation framework development skills-       Functional / Integration Test experience-       Good knowledge in RLC/MAC, SCTP, M3UA, MTP, ATM, GTP protocols, etc.
