The TOEIC® L&R test serves as an evaluation standard for English ability at many corporations. ALC publishes TOEIC® L&R preparation books for students at various levels of English ability.

TSST Creative Speaking Course

•SST TSST and the Creative Speaking Course

ALC hosts the Standard Speaking Test (SST), an English interview style test for the assessment of functional speaking ability. This test was jointly developed with the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL). Also, based on the same assessment standard as that of SST, ALC developed the Telephone Standard Speaking Test (TSST), an automated English test administered over the telephone. In addition, ALC offers the Creative Speaking Course, a set of lessons focusing on improving performance on the SST and TSST.
