Albany Creek Chairperson’s Report Andrew Sibley Chair Executive Support Committee

Firstly I would like to welcome you all to this year’s Annual Report Presentation for the Albany Creek Scout Group. Thank you all for coming along and supporting the group. I consider you all to be VIPs, but I would like to thank those members of the wider Scouting organisation, local councillors and dignitaries who have taken time away from their families to be with us today. Please take the time to listen to the presentations and read the reports contained within this document as many hours have gone into the production but so many more have gone into the leadership, planning and development of our members in all our sections. This report is a condensed edition of what the group and its members have been doing during the year. As I have said for the past few years, without our leaders and our members we are nothing! Again, to each and every one of our leaders and our valued helpers and supporters, I sincerely thank you for all that you have given during 2015/2016 and thank you in advance of your continued dedication to Scouting here in Albany Creek. As an appreciative parent and someone who grew up with family involved in Scouting, I understand the commitment it takes and really value what you do for the youth members in helping them to develop into responsible members of our global society. Once again, I salute your dedication and devotion to Scouting – Long may it continue! Well, this is a time of reflection on what has happened over the last year and our Scouting here in Albany Creek and it has again been a busy year. This year we experienced a number of changes in the leadership team. On behalf of the group, I would like to publicly thank Malcolm Aldridge, our current Group Leader, David King, our current Group Treasurer and Susan Huffman, our current Group Secretary. I’d also like to thank Robyn Devine, our former Group Leader, Denise Cooper, our former Group Treasurer and all-rounder!, Jane Geutjes our former Group Secretary and Tony Duke, our former Group Quartermaster. All of these wonderful people have voluntarily contributed to the running of this Scout Group and I thank them and their understanding families whole heartedly for all they have contributed to the committee and to the group during the year. The sections have all had busy schedules with plenty of activities and they will be presenting a brief summary of their activities today. I may be sounding like a broken record, but again I challenge each and every one of you to ask yourselves whether you or anyone you know would be able to give some of your valuable time to increase our leadership/support teams across the group. We always need more hands to make the work lighter. Whatever time can be shared with ACSG in whatever capacity would be very much appreciated. To our youth members, please remember to think of your leaders and supporters and ensure you let them know how much you appreciate their efforts and show it with your actions by being the best you can be! Yours in Scouting,

Andy Sibley

Albany Creek Treasurer’s Report David King, Executive Support Committee Treasurer

Firstly, I would like to introduce myself, David King, the Executive Support Committee Treasurer. I took over the role as Treasurer in January 2016 from Denise Cooper. I would like to acknowledge and thank Denise for her work and dedication as the outgoing Treasurer. Albany Creek Scout Group over the last twelve months has increased its membership from 75 to 88 and judging by the new memberships received in April and May there will be more increases to the group. Our expenditure for the year on den maintenance was increased as we worked to ensure that the den meets building compliance standards and is maintained in a safe and usable manner. This year there was significant increase in fundraising to assist in sending 18 youth members and 2 leaders to Jamboree. This was in addition to fundraising to support the usual expenses of the den maintenance and normal running of Scouting activities/program. Hall hire is steady with a number of regular bookings continuing for this financial year. Registered Members as at 31st March 2016

Albany Creek Joey Scouts Section Report

Belinda Warner, Joey Scouts Section Leader

The Joey Scout section is proud to share with you the adventures of the past twelve months. A lot has happened in our busy little section and we would love to tell you about our adventures.

As per usual, our year began with the Anzac Day March. Eight of our Joeys marched in the parade and we had the added honour of Xavier carrying the Joey Scout flag alongside of the other section representatives at the front of the Scouting Section. We were also honoured to have another Joey, Adam, lay a wreath at the Kallangur RSL ceremony. Once again it was a stunning day for the march.

Shortly after Anzac Day we had our annual Mother’s Day outing to the Warner Miniature Railway. Perfect weather, perfect surroundings and perfect fun were had yet again. The Joeys and their families enjoyed their picnic lunches in the relaxed atmosphere and had tonnes of fun riding on all of the trains. We are looking forward to our visit there again this year in May.

Along with our outings, in term two the Joey Scouts earned their Environment Badge. This was done by learning about our earth and how we can help to protect it. And what is learning without loads of games and yummy cooking to help us? We also said goodbye to “Joey” the kangaroo who had been going home with a different Joey Scout each week and having his adventures recorded in a journal. He went on a long voyage to the other side of the world to go and live in England with our pen pals, the 8th Itchen North Beaver Group.

Also in May we attended the District Camp at Karingal. We had a wonderful weekend charging around in the bush looking for clip on koalas hidden in the trees, interacting with others sections and we even had our own lovely campfire to gather around. The camp was an enormous success and the Joeys went home very tired indeed.

Term three followed with our “Scouts in Action” program and this year it also had an Environment theme but with a special focus on the animals. We explored the natural world by learning about how the air and the sea are precious resources and how what we do effects not just people but has detrimental effects on our animals too.

As well as our den activities, Joeys attended both Joey Jaunt and Skillorama in term three. The theme of JJ this year was “Knights of the Joey Scout Circle” where the Joeys were able do jousting, see magicians, fire catapults and race each other on billy carts. There were also the usual fun activities there like the rope bridge, the climbing wall and the favourite one, abseiling. Skillorama continued the fun with their theme of Farm and Country. There were plenty of activities for the Joeys to wander around and visit including lassoing and riding on the twisting tripod rides made by the rovers and venturers. And to top off all of that, Albany Creek Joey Scouts took out the Pine Rivers Show colouring competition for the third year in a row! Congratulations Adam.

At the end of term three we visited our friends down the road at the Police station. The police officers were kind enough to show the Joeys around the station and explain much of what goes on behind the scenes. They had the opportunity to get kitted up in bullet proof vests, blow into the breathalyser, sit in the police cars and paddy wagon, and spend some time in the lock-up!

Term four was a bit exciting as our resident scientist, Raksha, took us on a journey into the world of “Weird Science”. Throughout the term Joey Scouts got to blow things up, fizz things over and evaporate things. Amongst all this weirdness was the whackiness of Halloween and in keeping with our tradition, it was a ghoulish smash yet again! Joeys dressed in their finest attire worthy of the most horrific of nightmares.

We paid a visit to another group of friends down the road also, the Eaton’s Hill Fire Station. Our wonderful firefighters treated the Joey Scouts to a tour around the station and they got to climb into the Fire truck. They gave us some demonstrations of the gear they use and we were even allowed to have a go at the fire hose!

Our District Mob Holiday was in November and we slept over at the Lawnton Scout Den. Our theme of adventure and exploration led us to do lots of activities to do with space exploration, African safaris, journeys under the sea and the like. We had our own adventure to the Roma Street Parklands on the train and explored the grounds’ natural beauty and wildlife.

Wrapping up 2015, we enjoyed our Group Christmas Party and took a break before launching into 2016. Jumping straight into the new year, our first item on the agenda was the Founder’s Day Rally. This year we were looking closely at other cultures and lands. Joeys had to make their passport, go through the rigorous scrutiny of the Customs officer, Bagheera, and be guided to their seats by the charming Flight Attendant, Raksha. Our pilot, Kirrang, took us on a bumpy plane ride to Egypt, China, Canada and even Afghanistan where we played games from these countries, made their crafts and learned a little something about each place we visited. Of course the highlight is always the billy cart riding with the Cubs and the campfire at the end.

Also in term one Joeys earned their Buddy Badge and we teamed up with Narangba Joey Scout Mob as our “Buddies”. We had the honour of being invited over to their Den to have some pre-Easter fun. A brilliant night was had with egg and spoon races, Easter basket making and of course, some chocolate egg eating. We returned the favour a couple of weeks later with lots of Easter games, craft and once again, more chocolate egg eating!

Over the past year we have had to say goodbye to some of our friends who have gone on to Cub Scouts. I am proud to announce that they also earned the highest award in Joey Scouting – The Promise Challenge Badge. They are as follows: Bronwyn Jensen, Belle Geutjes, Tyler Cameron, Brigid Medlin, Luke Long, Adam Warner and Bailey Macdonald. Congratulations on your amazing effort! Our numbers in our mob received somewhat of a boost in the past year and we welcomed our new friends Luka King, Callum Eaglesham, Noah Wedgwood, Bailey Macdonald, Roman McKinnon, Max McGuinness, Callum Fleming, Max Moss, Samson Perks, Mateo Viegas and Cooper Chan. Welcome to the beginning of your Scouting life! Due to our small explosion of membership, we also welcomed another talented leader, Hawkeye (Jane Geutjes) to our ranks. A special thank you goes out to our delightful scout helper, Emma Warner, who has been a wonderful addition to our mob for a number of weeks.

We look forward to yet another year of exciting adventures together and building new friendships. Thanks go to our committee for their hard work and support and to our hard working Group leader Kaa (Malcolm Aldridge) and Rikki (Robyn Devine) before him. Of course, thanks go to our wonderful parents also for their kind support of the parent roster and entrusting us with their precious children.

Yours in Scouting

Bagheera (Belinda Warner)

Albany Creek Cub Scouts Section Report

Nathan Dobbins, Cub Scout Section Leader

Once again, we are pleased to report that it was another busy and active year for Albany Creek Cub Scouts. At the start of the scouting year (April 2015), the Albany Creek Cub Pack consisted of 17 cubs and 4 leaders. With Joey’s linking to Cubs and then up to Scouts our numbers have grown and now we boast a Cub Pack compliment of 30 Cubs and 5 Leaders as at the end of March 2016. We remain a very active pack within the District. We welcome back Allan Mortensen from his current appointment as District Leader Charles S Snow District to the Pack and with a great wealth of knowledge helping to grow and develop the other leader’s skills during their Leader training. We also have been blessed with another outstanding leader joining us from Kallangur Group. John Woolnough, Lagoo also brings us a wealth of knowledge and friendship. The Cub section is however still looking for new Leaders to join us at Cubs. We would like to welcome our newest Cub Leader, Kerry West (Keanu) to Albany Creek. We would like to congratulate Rachel Devine (Rae) on the Birth of Hazel Devine and welcome her back to the pack after a brief time off for obvious reasons. Lastly Malcolm Aldridge (Kaa), has been appointed as Group leader for Albany Creek and now have found it necessary to bring back the parent roster and are now looking for 1 or 2 parents to ascend to the ranks of leaders/ adult support during our time of expansion. We would like to thank all Leaders for the dedication they have given to the pack and to the development of our Cub Scouts. Once again our main aim is to enable our Cub Scouts to achieve their goals through friendship and fun while striving to complete their Boomerang levels (Bronze, Silver and Gold) as well as other awards and achievement badges. Many older Cub Scouts have worked steadily towards achieving their Grey Wolf badge before linking to Scouts and some are getting close. Certainly a major focus for the Albany Creek Cub pack is preparing for Cuboree in Maryborough this September. We have 17 Cubs register and all 5 leaders will be up these assisting in another successful Cuboree. Some of the programmed activities the Cub Scouts participated in were: Anzac Day March 2015 Cub Leadership Courses District Pack holiday – Mt Cotton, Karingal Rock Climbing at Lawnton PCYC Bike Bungle Swim night Cubs can Come (CCC) to Scouts Section Skills (SSS) at BP Park Campfire cooking Campfire Traditions Skillorama Founders Day Rally 2016 (Billy Cart racing) Raftorama Pack Holiday to Noosa Sea Scouts Den

The Leaders and Pack would like to thank our Group Committee (past &present), parents and the community for the support which we received throughout this year. This support comes in the form of Parents being prepared to volunteer and lend a hand in the time of need, and makes the Leaders year goals more achievable. Another big thank you goes back to the leaders for their continued support throughout the year. If these leaders didn’t put the amount of effort to share the load in the Cubs would not be enjoying the range of activities, we program

Yours in Scouting

Lynda Aldridge, Scout Section Leader We have had a very adventurous Scouting Year, the beginning of the year our focus was to ensure that all those Albany Creek Scouts wanting to go to Jamboree achieved the Pioneer Level in the Award scheme, and we had very dedicated Scouts who achieved this and more, as a result 18 Scouts went to Jamboree accompanied by Kaa, Paul Hodgkins and Echidna, Lynda Aldridge. Adventures that were undertaken this scouting year were Anzac Troop Camp at Petrie Scout Hall where we were joined by other Scouts and Venturer scouts in the District to celebrate 100 years of Anzac, we attended the Dawn service and then marched Anzac Ave in Kallangur and returned to Petrie for a District Family BBQ. Catherine undertook her Explorer Level Journey in April hiking through Landsborough and camping at Rocky Creek in the Easter holidays. Triple S (Scout Section Skills) is another excellent Camp run over three nights in the July Holidays. All four of our patrols participated, personally developed and learned a lot about team work, and how organisation and planning is essential for a successful camp. We had 6 scouts undertake the District Leadership Courses, resulting in 6 patrol camps which were held at BP Park and Murrenbong. These are camps run by the Patrol Leader with indirect supervision and are examined by the District Scout Leader, to ensure that Scouts are following the Scout Method and Camping Standards. The scouts all had a great time and learned a lot about leadership and teamwork! Nighthawk is one of the Scouts favourite overnight activities, and we had two patrols participate Dingo lead by India and Scorpion lead by Lachie. It is an event run by Darling Downs region and the Scouts set off at a designated time at night, Dingo left at 9pm and Scorpion at 9.30pm and then they navigate to activity bases before ending back at base camp early in the morning at about 5.30am! This year’s highlight was lying on the ground watching the meteor shower and then crunching through the ice on the way back to camp, it was a rather cold morning reaching -3’C. Two patrol’s entered into the Pine Rivers tent building competition in September lead by Cassie and Xander. We also had a patrol, led by Aden, attend Jamboree on the Air(Jota)/Jamboree on the Internet (Joti) in October at Murrenbong, where they were able to interact with other scouts all around the world via radio and internet. There were many other activity bases, and fishing was the highlight of the camp. Most of the troop participated in the Pioneer Level Journey from BP Park in Samford to Albany Creek Scout hall, which was 12.5 km followed by a camp at the hall and on Sunday we successfully built a bridge across the creek. We also had several Scouts undertake the District Explorer Level Water Activities Course in October and then the follow up overnight Canoe Journey in November, which was held at Noosa. The Scouts who attended had amazing time, canoeing, light weight camping and even a night paddle. Catherine also led an Urban adventure through Brisbane in November and achieved her Explorer Cord! Well done Catherine! Lillie did her Explorer Level Journey along the Sunshine Coast Great Walk camping at Flaxton Walkers camp and Ethan held a Patrol Camp at Neurem Creek Campsite in in the December holidays.

(Scouts Section Report Cont…)

The last night of Term 4 2015 we had a ceremonial campfire where we wished our Current Patrol leaders all the best in their move to Venturers and appointed new Patrol Leaders and assistant Patrol leaders for the 2016. Jamboree 2016 was held at Cataract Scout Park in NSW in January and was certainly a trip to be remembered. Our troop was made up of Scouts from Cairns, Indooroopilly, Kedron, Majestic Park and Albany Creek. The first few days were incredibly wet and muddy but nothing was to dampen their spirits and they enjoyed every minute of it, making friends and going on awesome adventures such as Challenge Valley, Endurance, Abseiling, and City Sights to name a few. February Scouts in their patrols have been designing, building and racing their chariots in preparation for our annual Founders Day Field Gun Run, which was held at Petrie Old town to celebrate the birthday of our Founder Baden Powell. We ran a troop camp in conjunction with the Founders Day Rally and invited our 10 year-old cubs to join us in preparation for their linking to Scout Section. We all hiked from Petrie Scout Den to Old Town where our Scouts did fantastically; out of the 20 patrols only 3 hit the target, one of which our Frill Neck Lizard Patrol lead by Ryan, and Scorpion Patrol lead by Ethan came +9*-second in the Rally! March was another busy month for we attended Scouts District Swimming carnival. It was another great night out socialising with other scouts in our District and having fun with Scorpion coming 3rd! We also helped our local platypus doing a river clean-up for Clean-up Australia day. Two patrols lead by Lachie and Ethan attended Butterfly wide game challenge at Murrenbong, which is a lightweight hike to several activity bases and then camping at the base you are at 5pm before continuing the next day. We then had a practice raft building session for Raftarama before entering D’agular’s raft building competition and race, Frill Neck lizards won the best Flag award and Scorpion came forth in the final race! We also went Rockclimbing and ended the term 1 2016 with a Campfire cook-off, our newly formed Platypus Patrol lead by Emma did a selection of desserts, chocolate bananas, and orange chocolate cake, and mars damper; Scorpion cooked marshmallow, chocolate and banana wafer cones; Frill neck lizards did a savoury ham, cheese damper swirl and mars damper swirls, and Dingo did bacon and cheese potatoes. What a success all the food was, it so good it was too difficult to choose a winner! We started the year with 33 invested Scouts, 7 Scouts have since moved up to Venturers and 11 scouts have decided to no longer continue scouting of which 1 was a cub scout who decided it wasn’t for her and 2 were at the age to move to Venturers but decided not to. We have had 3 cub scouts link up and stay in Scouting, and 5 new scouts have been invested, finishing with 23 Scouts for the next financial year. We currently have 3 full time Wood badged leaders, Yanta (Frank Ramsaeur), Kaa (Paul Hodgkins) and Echidna (Lynda Aldridge), and said goodbye to Mang (Naomi Bell) at the end of Term 3. This year poses to be another adventurous year with lots of fantastic opportunities for scouts to pioneer, explore and adventure the great outdoors through Canoe Journeys, Air Activities, environmental camps and the abundance of District and Regional activities on offer, which all goes towards developing all their areas of personal growth, social, physical, intellectual, character, emotional, and spiritual development, which is the purpose of Scouting! We would like to thank all the scouts, leaders and parents for their time they have given up to make this possible.

Yours in Scouting

Echidna (Lynda Aldridge)

Albany Creek Venturer Scout Section Report

Tony Wright, Venturer Scout Leader Wow. The Albany Creek Venturer Unit has had a roller-coaster of a year with changes of a Venturer youth moving up to Rovers, a few of the youth leaving the section and having a number of the Albany creek scouts and one scout from out of the district being invested into the Venturer unit. Also we welcomed Kernow into the unit early in 2016 as Assistant Venturer Scout Leader, working alongside Nitro. The unit has participated in many of the region and district events throughout the calendar year such as the ANZAC day march, participating in clean up Australia day, assisting with the running of founder’s day at old Petrie town and providing security over night for the Pine Rivers Show Society. Night hawk, operation archer and RoVenturer are always full of experiences for the youth. Some fun actives and games around the scout den and off site keep the moral up for the Venturers throughout the scouting year. With a focus on learning by doing and having fun, the Venturer youth are wanting to plan and execute their own activities, such as a formal dinner where everyone dresses up always brings the spirit of the unit closer together and is talked about for weeks after. With a significant number of the older youth leaving and new Venturers being invested into the unit there has been a hive of badge work, with all the youth completing their Venturing Skills and first aid qualifications Finally, thank you to Malcolm Aldridge "Kaa", our Group Leader, for leading the group from the front and helping all sections in the group, also to the Committee for managing the financials, resources and supporting elements of the group, which has helped greatly in delivering the youth program for the venture unit. Finally to the parents of the Venturers, thank you for having faith in the section and we look forward to delivering an even better program next year. Yours in Scouting

Nitro (Tony Wright)

In the Rover Crew there are 4 knighted members, a squire and one person thinking of joining. The Rovers have had a busy 12 past months. Some activities that the Rovers have been involved with are that we went to the drive inn cinema at Yatala. We watched Fast and Furious 7, Cinderella and Home. Some other activities include the first aid night that was run for the cubs, we also watched Inside Out at Strathpine cinemas, had State of Origin nights, bowling at Strathpine, a Christmas night at Settlement Cove Lagoon at Redcliffe, a New Year’s Eve night, Campfire Cooking night, a tent challenge night and formal dinner at McDonalds. Also Stuart and myself attended Agoonoree. All Rovers are working hard towards award work. Congratulations to Rowan Yates who was awarded his Baden Powell Award back in May. Some goals ahead for the year include trying to do more fundraising and be involved in more activities. Some activities planned in the near future include laser tag, orienteering, rock climbing and bowling. In January we said fare well to Ashley Jones from the crew. A massive thank you to her for how much she has contributed to the Crew. Yours in Scouting Liam Rowe

Albany Creek Scout Group Leader’s Report

Malcolm Aldridge, Albany Creek Scout Group Leader

The 2015 – 2016 reporting year has been a sensational year for Albany Creek Scout Group. Our youth membership has seen a steady growth in almost all sections, with the only drop in the Scouts section, following a number of moves post Jamboree. We are therefore beating the trend in the District and Region which saw a small drop in overall membership. This increase in membership highlights our strong leadership base. Our Leaders are guiding the youth to delivering a fun and engaging program which in turn makes the youth want to be involved. Many new members this year have stated they heard about our scout group through friends. I would also like to take the opportunity to thank Robyn Devine for her service as Group Leader for the 2015, she accepted a new position with the Scout Region team at the start of the year and we wish her all the best in her new role as Assistant Region Commissioner Group Support (Joey Scout and Cub Scout Sections). Although we have had a number of changes in the year, the group is going from strength to strength with a solid Leader base, and keen active youth members.

Adults in the Group The Group Committee (All parents and guardians of the youth members) The Group committee had a very busy year with many fundraising activities, resulting in a record breaking fundraising year for the group which largely went towards reducing the cost of Jamboree. We said a very sad Farwell to Denise Cooper as Treasurer, she took up a position with the Murrumba District support team. We also had a change of Secretary with Jane Geutjes who took up the position of Assistant Joey Scout Leader. For the first time in a while we were very lucky to have a quartermaster for the majority of the year, Tony Duke has done a great job of sorting and fixing are equipment. We then Welcomed David King, as our new Treasurer and Susan Huffman has changed from Assistant Venturer leader to Group Secretary. Andy Sibley continued on as our foundation rock (Chairman) and remained a source of stability and advice throughout the year. The Group Council (All leaders in the group) I do feel we are very fortunate to have many great leaders in our group across all sections and they have actively helped to ensure good program based on the scouting fundaments is delivered. We took on-board the feedback from the Assistant Region Commissioner, John Mackinnon, at the last ARP around training and I am pleased to say we had five of our leaders complete their advanced training and continue to receive their Wood Beads, along with a number of leaders completing specialist training in First Aid, Canoeing, Kayaking, Archery and more. We welcomed four leaders into the group, Jane Geutjes, as a new assistant Joey Scout Leader, Allan Mortensen returned to the group as Cub Scout Leader, Kerry West joined as an Assistant Cub Scout Leader and John Woolnough transferred from Kallangur as Assistant Cub Scout Leader. We also said farewell to two of our Assistant Scout Leaders, Janine Hennessey and Naomi Dalton All our other leaders continued in their previous roles and provided welcome stability and continuity while doing a wonderful job.

Youth Members Over all we had a great year where the number of youth members grew from 75 to 88 members and all our sections grew in numbers except our Scout section, this was expected and mostly due to the natural drop off after Jamboree which saw six link up to Venturers and a few decide to leave the movement. We also had an All Sections District Camp at Karingal which was a great success. Joey Scouts The Joey Leaders have done a brilliant job of looking after the Joey section, they had a fantastic and busy year with District Camp, Den Sleepover, visits to the Police and Fire station, international pen pals and many more adventures. They saw eleven new Joeys join and seven earned their The Promise Challenge Badge. Cub Scouts The Cub pack has nearly doubled in the last year and is doing very well with many new Scouting families joining. They have been very active doing Billy cart racing, Rock Climbing, Swimming, Campfires and the pinnacle of the year was the Pack Holiday to Noosa. There was a strong focus on the Boomerang award scheme throughout the year with many achieving their Bronze, Silver or Gold awards. Scouts The Scout troop had a very adventurous Scouting Year, with two explorer Hike Journeys, six Scouts attended the district leadership course, which resulted in six patrol camps. Other camps which the scouts participated in were NightHawk, SSS (Scout Section Skills), Jota/Joti and many more. Australian Jamboree was the highlight of the year with eighteen Scouts and two leaders headed off to Cataract, NSW in January for ten days of unforgettable fun, and lots of mud! Venturer Scouts The Venturers section has also grown, predominately with the influx of Scouts post jamboree with a very memorable going up ceremony. The unit has participated in a many region and district events throughout the year such as Nighthawk, Operation Archer and RoVenturer to name a few. Rover Scouts The Rovers crew have been busy this year. They helped out the Cub Scouts at a Mock Emergency First Aid night which was a huge success. Several members attended Agoonoree last September. Some of their other events were campfire cooking and tent challenge. Rowan Yates achieved his Baden Powell Award, and they bid farewell to Ashley Jones and Stuart stepped up as Crew Leader.

Summary This year has been a great year for the group were we saw membership grow and retention remain strong. We said a few sad goodbyes to a few old friends and welcomed in a few new ones. There was really great parent support of the group which helped us with Hall maintenance and lots of fundraising. I feel we have ended the year in a strong position and fully intend to maintain that and improve on it where we can. We will continue our focus on training, as this empowers our leaders to enable the youth members, which ultimately encourages better programing. We will be looking for a couple more leaders to strengthen our numbers, as well as growing our committee to help keep things running smoothly. I look forward to the year ahead. Yours in Scouting Kaa (Malcolm Aldridge)
