2011 Wounded Soldiers Alaska Black bear hunt

May 15- June 10, 2011 With spring rapidly approaching we are gearing up to host 20 Wounded Service

members, 5 of whom will be female at the Alaska’s Healing Hearts Lodge. Joining them again this year to take part in this spectacular life changing event will be

many of our celebrity Team members who have all become very familiar with the rehabilitation process of our wounded heroes and the need for our programs.

Under newly passed Alaska statute 5 AAC 92.104 a few of our wounded soldiers may hopefully have a chance at an Alaska Brown bear while hunting over a bait

station this year.

The layout of the lodge allows us the opportunity to take even our paralyzed Service members into this somewhat remote location to enjoy Alaska’s Great

Outdoors as well as have a chance at an Alaskan black bear in this well known high bear population area of the state.

Without our Generous sponsors projects like this would not be possible, our

fantastic sponsors not only assist financially but in most cases the organization and on site assistance at every event for our soldiers. It is not surprising how devoted our sponsors are after sharing in the experiences, the stories and the often life changing events that happen during the course of one of our Alaska’s

Healing Hearts projects.

We always need more help to continue to grow these opportunities for the so many wounded soldiers that have given so much for all of us and every dollar

helps, literally every dollar.

Rehabilitation does not only happen in the hospital.
