Job Title: HousekeepingWork Description: General Description of JobThe employee must fulfill all duties of the housekeeping position in order to provide customers with clean,comfortable, and safe facilities. These duties include the cleaning of cabins; stripping and making of beds,replacing all dirty linens, including towels and washcloths. Also, the cabins and restrooms must be cleaned using the required cleaning products (some are hazardous and irritants), supplied and tools such as mops and brooms to clean floors, and rags to clean and polish surfaces. Cups and soap must be restocked in the cabins daily. Trash must be disposed of into the proper containers daily. Sinks, toilets, and showers must be disinfected daily both in cabins on the daily list and in the campground restrooms. The outhouses must be swept, seats disinfected, and cleaned daily. Showers and other areas may need to be treated with a special cleaner every few days to remove rust build up, soap scum, and stains. Lifting and carrying mop buckets with water or cleaning solutions is necessary throughout the work day.In some cases, toilets must be plunged and cleaned along with the soiled floor as soon as it is brought to the employee’s attention. The grounds (campsites, cabin sites, roadways, pathways, and area around employee housing) must be kept free of litter at all times. This includes toilet paper and other paper bits resulting from sweeping floors. Cigarette butts are a constant battle and must be picked up immediately.May be required to help with porter service a couple times a day for about 10-15 minutes each time.Training and Experience Education and experience not necessary.
