WingThe“Alasca-2”kitehasawingofthe“parafoil”type-itsconstruc-tionremindsasmallparaglider.Thewingconsistsoftwotextilelayers-theupperandthebottomsurfaces,aswellasinnerribsthatformthewingprofile.Tofullthewingwithairthereareairinletsattheleadingedgeofthekite.Theribshaveopeningsforairflowinsidethewing.Onthebottomsurfacethereareloopswherethewinglinesaremounted.
Wing linesThewinglinesareusuallyadaptedbytheproducer.Theydefinethewingform.Whilecorrectusageofthewing,thewinglinesnevergettangled.

Extenders

Preparation for the start.
Start with an assistant. Folding up the kiteAfteryouhavefixedthebarsafely,pressthekitewitharuck-sackorpouritwithsnow.Thenyoushouldreeltheextendersonthebar.Then,dependingonthewindconditions,youchoosethewayoffoldingthekite.
