Everyone I got to meet was really nice. Alamo Stone was lucky enough to get food donated by a local company. After we ate, we were presented with a very good band, which played 5-6 songs. In between the set, the band got the crowd to play a game called “Gorilla, Man, Gun,” which is a Christian version of “Paper, Rock, Scissors.” In closing, it was another great event and I am glad I attended. I look forward to promoting and attending its next event, Birth-of-a- Cool, on March 26th. Birth-of-a-Cool is a talent show and it begins at 5 P.M. Saturday Night Live, a quarterly event at Alamo Stone Church, had nearly 200 in attendance. As someone who does not regularly attend church, I was hesitant about what to expect. One reason I went to the event was because I have been helping the AMA-UTSA chapter online-market the show and I wanted to know more about what I was helping promote. Another reason I went was to see if all churches are in fact created equal. My takeaway was that this church is not a cookie-cutter and I was happy to be there. After the band’s set concluded, Pastor Roderick Barnes read a verse from the Bible. I was quickly able to discover it was Pastor Rod’s passion and energy in his sermon that sets him apart from others. He gave an interpretation of the verse and made it easily understandable for the audience. I was pleasantly surprised with his methods for presenting the Bible. While watching and listening to him, I couldn’t help but picture him preaching to thousands in attendance. I really think he has the ‘it’ factor and charisma to really take Alamo Stone Church to great places. Everyone I got to meet was really nice. Alamo Stone was lucky

enough to get food donated by a local company. After we ate, we

were presented with a very good band, which played 5-6 songs.

In between the set, the band got the crowd to play a game called

“Gorilla, Man, Gun,” which is a Christian version of “Paper, Rock,

Scissors.”

In closing, it was another great event and I am glad I attended. I

look forward to promoting and attending its next event, Birth-of-a-

Cool, on March 26th. Birth-of-a-Cool is a talent show and it begins

at 5 P.M.

Saturday Night Live, a quarterly event at Alamo Stone Church,

had nearly 200 in attendance. As someone who does not regularly

attend church, I was hesitant about what to expect. One reason I

went to the event was because I have been helping the AMA-UTSA

chapter online-market the show and I wanted to know more about

what I was helping promote. Another reason I went was to see if

all churches are in fact created equal. My takeaway was that this

church is not a cookie-cutter and I was happy to be there.
