It will also discuss here whether it has attained or not in relation to the solutions found in the study. 9.1 FINDINGS The study projects a development in an efficient, interactive design and locally influenced with sustainable approach that shall engage the people to live, play and enjoy the ambience of a waterfront development. As the proponent in envisioning its major concept, it is important that an observance of the legal codes and parameters in the formulating initial goals and objectives of the study. The subsequent undertakings in the process of the study have brought up several issues that are discussed as follows. THE PROJECT: THE EMERGENCE OF WATERFRONT DEVELOPMENT With the fast growing innovation of lifestyle, people tend to become more competitive and tend to focus on work. This brought up much stress to the individuals and what they need sometimes is a place where they can break their stress. A place where they can enjoy the rest with their family or anyone. A place where they could connect with nature. In these instances, the tourism industry on nature-themed places booms. As a result of these increased, different developments are scattered to accommodate their needs in a more relaxing and comfortable places to stay. Utilizing the industry of tourism is a good investment and start for an economic growth. Specifically, the project transpire from the facelifting of the Hundred Islands National Park into the redevelopment of Lucap Wharf where it becomes the top priority of the proponent. With the help of the City Officials, the project expands up to alteration of the existing Lucap Hotel and redeveloping the site into a holistic waterfront development integrated with port and convention center. Resort Boutique Hotel promote the non-existence of electronics and communication devices in guestrooms as a competitive advantage among other hotels. Convention Center promotes modernism of technology. And recreation and port emphasizes natural habitat. Combining these different scopes of project in creating a significant waterfront development suits becoming the gateway of the city towards the theme park. In general, the study must come up with a development that will integrate systems to the proposed activity in the area. With the new technology and systems, the proposal needs to amalgamate within them in order to achieve its goal and objectives. An extensive collaboration between elements of nature and architecture must also be fully analyzed.

THE RESEARCH TOPIC: THE SIGINIFICANCE OF THE DESIGN APPROACH

With the project being a waterfront development, the research is all about the combination of

these development that will assimilate the elements of nature. The research topic must undergo

to extensive researches and data gathering to come up with solutions that will be incorporated

in planning the whole project. The location of the project which is considered as waterfront

becomes a perfect location which is very important to adapt the senses and regenerative design

system.

Many factors are considered by the proponent in coming up with the detailed description of

systems whereas, it must be economically available and readily adaptable by the project.

Security, management systems and signage must also be chosen to which it blends with the

research topic.

CONCEPT AND CHARACTER: A UNIFYING THEME OF THE DEVELOPMENT

Since the project is waterfront development, a complex specifically, it must have a

prevailing and unifying concept and character that will clearly emphasize the project and inhibits

its goal and objectives. Based on the research topic, a design philosophy from relevant

professionals derived into concept. With this concept, different sub-concepts will be formulated,

thus the concept and character become detailed and explicit.

9.2 CONCLUSION

After tackling all the chapters in this project, the solutions have been found in answering the

problems stated in the first chapter. With the set of main goals and objectives, the project will be

definitely an innovation as one contribution of the field of architecture and will be known due its

responsive approach.

Based from the terms of references, the approach used by the proponent had found out that

these project concepts are attainable by the development. With the case study also, it proves that

certain development already exist and are not only an experimental project.

Together with the Site Datum acquired, the site has been proven capable of hosting the project

since users and the catchment area are attainable.

Environmental Systems used by the proponent makes the project become successful when it

comes to influential aspect of the site and capability.

Nevertheless, the manner of financing states that the project is buyable and can be financed to

build.

After the research has been conducted, I therefore conclude that the feasibility of the project

can be attained and proved that the project will also be the one that is capable of reshaping the image

of Alaminos City and the province of Pangasinan.
