13th Annual Great Wine Escape Weekend ~

This annual tradition, presented by the Monterey County Vintners and Growers Association and Wine Enthusiast Magazine, celebrates Monterey Countys world-class wines and gastronomic delights crafted by nationally recognized chefs during a weekend of unbeatable events. More than fifty acclaimed wineries will showcase their wines, reflecting the quality of the regions nine distinct American Viticulture Areas. The Great Wine Escape Finale, This showcase event will feature barrel samples and reserve wines from over Monterey County wineries, food samplings, and celebrity and local chef cooking demonstrations. Discover the wine region the wine region on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, bursting with diversity, charm and great tasting wine!

Callaway Golf Beach Invitational ~

The Callaway Golf Pebble Beach Invitational is golf's only head-to-head competition among PGA, LPGA, Champions Tour and Nationwide Tour players for the same purse. As always, this 38th playing will be held on Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and Del Monte Golf Course. The Invitational has a special charm for those who truly love to watch the game of golf played at its highest level. Small crowds are the norm and the fairways are open for spectators to walk down directly behind the players. Additionally, not only are the views of the golfers wide open and close-up, but getting to the course is easy, as parking is never a problem. 25th Annual Christmas in the Adobes ~

Holiday traditions and Monterey history merge in Christmas in the Adobes to be presented by California State Parks in association with the Old Monterey Pres-ervation Society. Hosts and Hostesses dressed in period costume will welcome visitors to nearly twenty participating adobes clustered in a five-block area. All are within walking distance for the self-guided tour Montereys historic buildings lit by luminaria, candle-light and enhanced with period Christmas decorations, musical entertainment and refreshments. Free parking is available at selected locations with your ticket purchase. Learn while you celebrate in each of these 19th century charming buildings, many of which are only open to the public and in the evening during this celebration. Special activities will be planned at the state parks to celebrate the 25th year. First Night Monterey ~ A Kaleidoscope of Events

Cap off your holiday celebration with a New Year's Eve to remember! First Night Monterey celebrates the lively arts scene in Monterey County; this family-friendly is a celebration of the arts. Over 30 venues hold concurrent performances and activities for both children and adults, culminating in a convergence on Custom House Plaza to ring in the New Year.
