I love video modeling! My kids absolutely love every second of it. We will often turn on the We Speak PODD YouTube channel and they will be glued. I highly recommend creating your own channel. Film tiny clips here and there. Get family members, peers and school staff involved. It's so simple these days to take a quick 20sec clip of someone using the PODD to say something simple. Upload the clip right from your phone to your channel and #BAM you have an amazing tool to add to your toolbox. This video is feedback for Siah's daily school writing. My go to technique is to "steal letters" from the letters they scribble with and help them make sense of the letters they chose to write. This particular time I was at a loss. So I pointed out how many beautiful letters he wrote! Short simple and to the point. This idea for video feedback for writing is from Caroline Musselwhite. I try to make at least one video per child a week (if I'm lucky). It's always a hit and they love seeing their writing up on the big screen!!)!
