Parent’sMindset - 1Parents have to understand that the syllabus will be the same in each and every school and these schools (corporate) will not do any kind of wonders.

The children admitted in corporate schools will not have individual attention as we can see in other schools that they pay individual attention.

They least bother about the parents once the admission is over. One has to take an appointment with the principal for their grievance.

These corporate managements give least priority to the parents.

In each class they have more than 60 students only above average students will have an advantage on these schools.

They never follow government text books and they have their own study material and they dump the syllabus of higher classes from VI class onwards

Page 10: Ajhs school of excellence presentation1

Parent’sMindset - 2

They least bother to follow the examination schedule of the DCBE of the District and they set their own question papers. They keep the students from morning 6 am to 8.30 pm .They will not keep any kind of activity periods They least bother about sports and games and on socio – cultural eventsIf you would like to develop your child in all round development then these corporate schools are not going to help you out.

2 SAFTY AND FIRST AID

Can you identify these pictures? When do you use them?

Accidents occur all of a sudden and cause injury. Though they are unexpected, we must be prepared for such situations. Accidents can happen anytime or anywhere. For example, you may trip over your toys and fall down or you may tumble down the steps of a staircase. Or sometimes, on roads, we can see two vehicles that have collided. Some basic emergency care can be given to an accident victim before professional medical aid reaches him/her. Simple medical treatment given to an accident victim before a doctor comes or before the person can be taken to a hospital is called first aid. A boy trips over the toy and falls

Fire Accidents

Fires can be destructive. Fire accidents can occur both inside and outside a house. Some of the important causes of fire accidents are as follows:

Electrical s hort circuit.

Gas cylinder leakage. Careless bursting of crackers.

1 INDIA’S NATURAL RESOURCES –

SOIL AND FOREST WEALTH

Which of the following do you think are the natural wealth of India?

Soil, forest, water, minerals, and animals are the five main natural resources available on Earth. Natural resources are a gift of nature.

1 MOVEMENT OF ANIMALS

Imagine a funny world where all the animals remain fixed to the ground and all plants can walk, run, and fly. What will happen then? Discuss in your class.

Do you think all the animals move like us? Plants, Plants make their own food, but animals cannot. So, they need to move in search of food and shelter. Some animals run, some walk, some hop, some fly, and some swim. Different animals move in different ways. Every animal uses different organs for its movement. The organs used for movement are adapted to the environment they live in.

1 MY STORY – TEDDY BEAR An outline of a teddy bear has been given. Colour it with your favourite colours and give the teddy a nice name.

…Name:………………………………………………….

Hi, everybody! I am Teddy! My name is Teddy Bear, but children of this big house call me Teddy. I am brown in colour. I have black eyes made of beads, a black nose, and a big smiling mouth. I have a big red bow around my neck. There are three children in this house. I was given as a birthday gift to Sheena, the eldest of the three.

It all started one Monday afternoon. My teddy friends were all sleeping.

The other dolls were chatting with each other. Suddenly, a father, a mother, and three children – one girl and to small boys – came into the soap.

The girl came to see the soft toys. She looked at each of us. I wished that she would see me and buy me. And
