The next Motocross meeting will be the 4th of October 2011 at the AJS clubrooms Wattle Ave Neerabup. All are welcome to attend. The next Trials meeting will be the 17th of October at the MWA offices 46 Seventh Ave Maylands. All are welcome to attend. If you have missed a flagging roster you will be unable to ride at the next club event unless you supply a Flaggy for that event.

Presidents Report

Hi All Members, Well the season is nearing an end and it has been a busy one . The King of the Sand was a great race meeting despite the low numbers the racing was good, one thing that did annoy me was the number of no shows in the flagging department we had 32 Flaggies rostered on for the meeting and only 14 fronted. There seems to be a number of people that couldn’t give a toss about their responsibilities to the club and I am glad the committee don’t have the same attitude, remember the only alternative is to hit you up for more duties and increase the fee ( I know you don’t want that ) but it leaves us no other option . When you spend 3 to 4 days organizing a race meeting and riders don’t bother doing their bit it does annoy you. Now on a lighter note the Summer Sports Day # 2 with the juniors was an excellent day, did run a bit longer but it was great anyway, the juniors I spoke to loved it and I can see it being a regular appointment. The trophy night is coming up and it would be great if you can get along to that, it is a good night. PS If you didn’t know we have a national next year approx mid to end of May, bloody good news YAY. Ken Brierley

Vice Presidents Report Motocross

Hi all, Well what a month we've had...King of the Sand has hustling + bustling all day. I’d like to thank all our sponsors Austwide Mining, Berry Sweet Strawberries, SAS Site Welding, Carnage Clothing, Tint A Car Clarkson, Commercial Locksmiths, Ashfield Smash, AcsRotech Cleaning Solutions, and thanks to Repco Clarkson for their donations of 3x $50 vouchers and a box of give away goodies. A BIG thank you to Dave Deardon for organizing the Repco giveaways.. Thanks goes to all the members who helped with track prep and the busy bee, thanks to volunteers for Flaggies although 10 of you didn’t turn up and that made my job very hard to replace you and we ran 40mins late cause of it. Thanks to Lance for the bar and anyone else that did it, Thanks to Paul for looking after the Flaggies. Thank you to Tuesday for Clerk she did an amazing job. Congrats to Michael Addison who took out 1st and the title of King of the Sand. I was in V.I.P + all went well with a room full of VIP's. Ant was so excited of his rider competing against Steve Moritz that I’m sure he didn’t realise how loud he was yelling let alone what he was yelling out and had us all including scorers in hysterics. Thank you to all VIP's for attending and I hope you had an enjoyable time... Summer Sports Day Interclub went very good overall. Feedback though out the day from Juniors and parents was fantastic and wishing for another day to come and race again. I’d like to thank my assistant Brad Watson from Wanneroo Junior Club he was a godsend to me and he had total control of it all and without his help I would of been lost. Thanks to all the Junior parents who helped with the cut-off areas...Again thanks goes to our members who helped at busy bee, the Flaggies, track prep people, and again Joe Murphy for his brick work in the new canteen. The committee members for all the extra work that’s needed on the day and members’ parents who came forward to help. Im sure I’ve missed people but THANKYOU AJS.. xxxxx REGARDS Tanya..
