You’ll walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

October 3, 2015 – The Galilee, IsraelTravel inland to the Sea of Galilee. You’ll stand on the Mount of the Beatitudes where Jesus gave his most well known sermon (Luke 6:12-49). At Tabgha, the traditional loca-tion for the calling of the disciples and the feeding of the 5,000, you’ll visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9:10-17). Visit the Chapel of the Primacy where three times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21). Travel to the shore town of Capernaum where Jesus called Peter, Andrew, James, John (Matt. 4:12-22) and later (Matt. 9:9). October 4, 2015 – Paphos, Cyprus (On your own)Arrive in the picturesque harbour of Paphos. It is in Paphos that Paul was flogged and had 39 lashes because of his belief in Christianity (Acts 13). The Pillar of Paul now stands in this spot. Visit the House of Dionysos,The House of Theseus, The House of Aion and the House of Orpheus where the finest mosaics in Cyprus are located. Visit the Tombs of the Kings, also known as Palaiokastra, where hundreds of burial chambers are cut into the rock.

October 5, 2015 – Kas (Ancient Lycia), Turkey (On your own)Explore the seaside town of Kas,an unspoiled fishing village draped around a bay at the end of a lush green fjord. Fishermen can still be seen unloading their catch in the harbor. The surrounding Kekova region is full of intriguing remains of the ancient Lycian culture with many monumental tombs carved into sheer rock faces, and the nearby town of Simena was partially submerged by earthquakes in the 2nd century.

October 6, 2015 – Rhodes, GreecePaul visited Rhodes briefly on his way to Jerusalem at the end of his third missionary journey (Acts 21:1). You will see the castles and the old city which still impress visitors. Over 4,000 years ago, the Minoans were among the greatest civilizations in Europe.

October 7, 2015 – Patmos, GreeceYou will set sail for the Island of Patmos. Visit the Monastery of St. John, high on the mountain overlooking the entire island. Walk down to the Grotto of the Apocalypse and the caves where the exiled Apostle John lived. Inspired by God, he wrote the Book of Revelation here as well as other letters to the early church. Below is a colorful and charming town well worth exploring.

October 8, 2015 – Ephesus & Miletus, TurkeyDrive to Miletus where Paul met the elders of the churches in Ephesus on his trip to deliver the Jerusalem Offering. Visit the theater with famous inscriptions about seats reserved for Jewish citizens. Drive for an afternoon visit to Ephesus where Paul had a three year ministry and where both the disciple John and Jesus’ mother Mary are buried. With a population of more than 250,000, Ephesus was the second largest city in the world. View the Library of Celsus, originally built in 125 A.D., which once held nearly 12,000 scrolls. Visit the temples of Hadrian and Domitian and the great theater where Paul witnessed.

October 9, 2015 – Pergamum, TurkeyPergamum is the location of one of the seven churches mentioned in Revelation (Rev. 2:12-17). Towering 1,000 feet above the town and commanding a spectacular panorama is the fabled Acropolis. You will see the foundations of the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Athena, and the ruins of the Library which once held 200,000 parchment volumes. You will also see the remains of the Temple of Trajan, the Grand Theatre, the Gymnasium, and the Health Center (Aesclepion).

October 1, 2015 – Jerusalem, IsraelTravel to Jerusalem and visit the Upper Room, the traditional site of the Last Supper (Mark 14:12-16). Visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas, where Jesus was tried before the Sanhedrin (Matt. 26:57-68). Stand upon the Mount of Olives and view the city as Jesus did (Acts 1:9). Wander among the olive trees of the Garden of Gethsemane (Matt. 26:36). Enter the Old City and visit the Pool of Bethesda (John 5:1-15). You’ll walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.

October 2, 2015 – Bethlehem, IsraelIn Bethlehem, visit the cave where Jesus was born and the Nativity Church which has been constructed on the site (Matthew 1: 18-25). Nearby, visit the Shepherds’ Field where the Good News was first heard (Luke 2:8-15).

October 3, 2015 – The Galilee, IsraelTravel inland to the Sea of Galilee. You’ll stand on the Mount of the Beatitudes where Jesus gave his most well known sermon (Luke 6:12-49). At Tabgha, the traditional loca-tion for the calling of the disciples and the feeding of the 5,000, you’ll visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves (Luke 9:10-17). Visit the Chapel of the Primacy where three times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21). Travel to the shore town of Capernaum where Jesus called Peter, Andrew, James, John (Matt. 4:12-22) and later (Matt. 9:9). Stop by the River Jordan where those who wish to be baptized may do so (Matt. 3).

October 4, 2015 – Paphos, Cyprus (On your own)Arrive in the picturesque harbour of Paphos. It is in Paphos that Paul was flogged and had 39 lashes because of his belief in Christianity (Acts 13). The Pillar of Paul now stands in this spot. Visit the House of Dionysos,The House of Theseus, The House of Aion and the House of Orpheus where the finest mosaics in Cyprus are located. Visit the Tombs of the Kings, also known as Palaiokastra, where hundreds of burial chambers are cut into the rock.

October 5, 2015 – Kas (Ancient Lycia), Turkey (On your own)Explore the seaside town of Kas,an unspoiled fishing village draped around a bay at the end of a lush green fjord. Fishermen can still be seen unloading their catch in the harbor. The surrounding Kekova region is full of intriguing remains of the ancient Lycian culture with many monumental tombs carved into sheer rock faces, and the nearby town of Simena was partially submerged by earthquakes in the 2nd century.

October 6, 2015 – Rhodes, GreecePaul visited Rhodes briefly on his way to Jerusalem at the end of his third missionary journey (Acts 21:1). You will see the castles and the old city which still impress visitors. Over 4,000 years ago, the Minoans were among the greatest civilizations in Europe.

October 7, 2015 – Patmos, GreeceYou will set sail for the Island of Patmos. Visit the Monastery of St. John, high on the mountain overlooking the entire island. Walk down to the Grotto of the Apocalypse and the caves where the exiled Apostle John lived. Inspired by God, he wrote the Book of Revelation here as well as other letters to the early church. Below is a colorful and charming town well worth exploring.

October 8, 2015 – Ephesus & Miletus, TurkeyDrive to Miletus where Paul met the elders of the churches in Ephesus on his trip to deliver the Jerusalem Offering. Visit the theater with famous inscriptions about seats reserved for Jewish citizens. Drive for an afternoon visit to Ephesus where Paul had a three year ministry and where both the disciple John and Jesus’ mother Mary are buried. With a population of more than 250,000, Ephesus was the second largest city in the world. View the Library of Celsus, originally built in 125 A.D., which once held nearly 12,000 scrolls. Visit the temples of Hadrian and Domitian and the great theater where Paul witnessed.

October 9, 2015 – Pergamum, TurkeyPergamum is the location of one of the seven churches mentioned in Revelation (Rev. 2:12-17). Towering 1,000 feet above the town and commanding a spectacular panorama is the fabled Acropolis. You will see the foundations of the Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Athena, and the ruins of the Library which once held 200,000 parchment volumes. You will also see the remains of the Temple of Trajan, the Grand Theatre, the Gymnasium, and the Health Center (Aesclepion).

October 10, 2015 – Istanbul, TurkeyVisit the Saint Sophia Church (Hagia Sophia), the largest church in the world for a thou-sand years. See the enormous Hippodrome and the mile monument from which all roads in the Roman Empire were measured. Tour the famous Blue Mosque with its six minarets and sparkling interior. You will also enjoy the aroma of cinnamon, cloves, thyme, and other exotic spices as you shop and explore the Spice Market.
