Lenten Prayer Opportunities!

Come experience the Seder Meal at St. Margaret Mary

Please join us on Wed., Apr. 8 at 6 p.m. in Madonna Hall

It was the seder meal that Jesus was celebrating with his apostles on Holy Thursday when he instituted the Holy Eucharist. Jesus knew he was to take the place of the sacrificial lamb through His suffering on the Cross.

The seder meal will be explained by a member of our Catholic faith who was born and raised in the Jewish faith. Guests will taste the foods of a seder meal with an explanation of each food and accompanying prayers. This explanation helps us understand the seder and will prepare us for Holy Thursday which is the following evening. The seder meal will be followed by a full contemporary meal. Watch for more details during Lent.

Tuesday, March 24, 2020 from 7–9 p.m. We will once again open our doors to those

seeking the mercy and love of God through the Sacrament of Reconciliation.

Did you know......that the statues of the Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph which stand in the Holy Family Room today originally stood on the altar in the old church? In 1959 when Masses began being celebrated in the current church, the statues in place now had not yet arrived from the overseas artisans. In the meantime, the Blessed

Mother and Saint Joseph statues were placed on opposite sides of the sanctuary until the new statues arrived. Along with a few other select items that have been discovered (which will be on display in the Heritage Room when completed), they are among the oldest items still in use today dating back to the first years of St. Margaret Mary parish.

The 2019 Fall Fest Turkey Dinner took place on November 2. The food was great and plentiful, served by a dedicated and hard working crew. There were games of chance and turkeys raffled. Thanks to all who came to support the event and all the volunteers who helped make it happen.

Our parish St. Vincent De Paul Society was a primary recipient of food collected during the North College Hill Police “Cram-a-Cruiser” food drive held at Kroger. Officers and their family helpers delivered the collected items before Christmas. Thank you to all the generous citizens who contributed and to the NCH Police Organization for selecting SVDP as a beneficiary.
