PHASE 1: RECRUITMENT
• Time Frame: 4 weeks June
• Materials: Referral Form and Aisling Transition Leaflet
• Method:
Approach schools and Aisling Primary projects to identify young people
Distribute referral form
Collect referrals and assess accordingly
Introduce young people to the building, the Aisling ethos, rules, activities and programmes that we will use throughout the year
Arrange tours of secondary schools
Introduce parents group to the project
SETTLING INTO AISLING (TRANSFER)
• Time Frame: 4 weeks July
• Materials: Aisling Transition facilities, Transfer booklet, transport, food
• Method:
Run two sessions per week for two hours.
For summer activity we concentrate on light in house activities and trips,
Encouraging the young people to take ownership of the project and engage fully
PREPARING FOR SCHOOL• Time Frame: 4 weeks August – Twice a Week 4pm to 7pm
• Materials: Aisling Transition facilities, food, school supplies
• Method:
Checklist for first day at school and provide support if needed

SETTLING INTO SCHOOL
