Conference Room One Minutes
Members present: Rita Maass, Chairperson; Jeffrey Monfort, Barry Erath, William Kutzke, Dan Huebner, David Tesch Member excused: N/A Others present: Director Jahncke, Manager Poppy, and Bill Welsh (Cable TV), 1. Roll Call
Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm by chairperson Maass
2. Approval of minutes from October 19, 2016 Motion by Kutzke, second by Erath to approve the minutes. Motion passed 5 to 0 on the call of roll.
3. Discussion and possible action pertaining to purchasing a radio for City Crews while they are on the runway with City Equipment. Poppy reviewed his memo. Kutzke: Training is mandatory Erath: Drivers need to know the runway numbers.
Motion by Kutzke move to authorize the DPW and Manager to purchase a handheld radio for up to $300 and to have the manager put together a training program. Seconded by Tesch.
Pass 5-0 on a call of roll. 4. Discussion regarding the BOA meeting on December 13, 2016 with Rita Maass, John Poppy and Diann Danielson. Kutzke: Standard language for parkland for a subdivision. Maass: Sitting in the park meeting they really don’t want to see a park on the end of the runway.

5. Discussion and action on the City owned parcels surrounding the airport based on the Planning Commission dsicussion. Jahncke: Presented his memo Maass: Parcel #5 should not be sold by the City for revenue and should be turned over to the Airport for use as airport property. Huebner: What is the value of parcel #5 to the Airport? Kutzke: It is a good structure that could be used for Airport purposes in the future. Motion by Erath: To make a recommendation to Planning Commission to consider properties labeled 3 and 4 on the attached map to be quit claimed deeded from the City to the City on behalf of the Airport and to allow the City to fill where they can to level the property. The Airport Commission will continue to consider properties 1,2,5,7,8 and ROW 10 for future airport use. Second by Kutzke. Pass 5-0 on a call of roll. 7. Reports
