Product OverviewAirodek is a low-weight, high productivity, simple slab formwork system, suitable for slabs of up to a depth of 700mm. Its quick, safe and simple assembly process enables one man to erect up to 40m² in an hour, significantly reducing construction time and labour requirements and thereby customers costs.

FasterLightweight panels and minimum number of components means that Airodek has 30% less weight and 40% fewer parts than conventional props and timber.

With minimal components, Airodek is quick to erect and dismantle, maximising construction cycle times.

Quick strip option allows formwork to be removed for reuse,whilst backpropping remains to support the slab.

SaferAirodek Panels and Beams are erected from below the soffit using an assembly prop, reducing the safety hazards of working at height.

Unique Crown locates the corners of up to 4 panels simultaneously, ensuring panels cannot be easily dislodged.

A range of edge protection options available, ensuring safe slab edge support and access.

EasierFull range of accessories makes this a very versatile soffit support system.

Powder coated Aluminium Frames reduce concrete adhesion making maintenance on site easier.

Can be used with props, decking or customers own shoring systems.

Airodek has either a high quality ply face or a composite face, which lasts longer, provides a better finish and is easier to clean.

Application & OptionsAirodek is a lightweight soffit formwork system which has been designed for easy assembly, transportation, storage and maintenance. It comes in 3 variants.

ApplicationSoffit formwork - suitable for a range of concrete slabs up to 700mm thick depending on the panels used.

Variant 1 Props and PanelsThe panels are supported by the crowns and props. The whole system is struck once the concrete has gained sufficient strength.

Variant 2 - Panels, Deck Beams, Crowns and Shoring

Suitable for large areas of falsework where open grids and fewer legs can be utilised. Similarly to variant 1, the whole system is struck once the concrete has gained sufficient strength.

Variant 3 - Panels, Deck Beams, Dropheads and Shoring

A quick strip system, where the panels and deck beams are removed during the early stages of curing, whilst the dropheads and shoring remain undisturbed to support the concrete.

Quick Strike pinStandard props have a quick strike pin which releases the load with a single hammer blow. This increases productivity and reduces noise pollution.

Useful AccessoriesSpacing gates and legs provide stability prior to placing infills to columns.

Unique CrownThe unique crown component securely locates the corners of up to four panels simultaneously ensuring panels cannot be easily dislodged.

Safety UpstandsPlastic upstands on decking beams provide secure location points and prevent the unintentional dislodging of panels.

Infill bracket & support blockRemoves the necessity for additional propping adjacent to existing walls where panels don’t quite reach.

Ply or Composite FaceAirodek has either a quality ply face or a composite face, which lasts longer, provides a better finish and is easier to clean.

Drop-head - 1Quick strike system lowers the decking beams by 70mm to enable the panels to be removed & re-used whilst leaving the soffit propped.

Drop-head - 2Unique propeller locks the decking beam in place to avoid accidental dis-lodging during high winds.

LightweightAll components in the prop & panel system are under 25kg making them ready for man handling.

Easy handlingThe largest panel has twin grab handles to facilitate easy handling.

Prop markingsBlue band on prop indicates correct height to fit spacing gates so that support leg works - no measurement required.

Base jackDrophead, perimeter u-head and crown are all designed to support the decking beams without differing adjustments to height of jack at the base.

2 sizes of Infill beamsNeatly removes the necessity for additional timber support to the plywood used at infill positions.

In DetailUnique CrownThe four claws on the crown enable up to 4 panels to be securely located by a single unit.

Safety GuardrailStandard Guardrail Brackets connect to the Airodek system to allow edge protection to be easily fitted around the open soffit.

Quick Strike PropA single hammer blow to the quick strike pin releases the load in the props by lowering the crown and the panel by 4mm which is sufficient to release the formwork panels.

Column Make Up2 sizes of standard Infill Beams locate quickly onto the Airodek Crown or Drophead, to allow simple make up around columns. Removing the need for additional timber supports.

Spacing GatesThe spacing gates are used to ensure that the props are spaced at the correct centres quickly and easily, as well as to stabilise the system during assembly. The blue bands on the props indicate the correct location.

Infill BracketThe Airodek infill bracket and support block is for use in conjunction with the Airodek crown, providing support for aluminium or timber beams in a close to wall situation where other supports, like props, would be difficult to use.

In DetailDropheadAn integrated quick strike function lowers the soffit formwork by 70mm, allowing panels and decking beams to be easily stripped whilst the drophead and support leg remains in contact with and supports the concrete slab.

Shoring AdaptorsAdaptors are available to allow Airodek soffit support to be used with Alshor Plus and Rapidshor, providing additional versatility to the system.

Drophead PanelsDrophead panel is notched around the prop head plate, maximising re-use of panels and beams.

Decking BeamsPlastic upstands on decking beams provide secure location points and prevent the unintentional dislodging of panels.

Easy HandlingThe largest panel is less than 25kg and has twin grab handles to facilitate easy handling.
