Light Sport Aircraft SERVICE BULLETIN SB15-20-01 TITLE MS21042L08 NUT REPLACEMENT EFFECTIVITY MODEL SERIAL NUMBERS 162 16200002 thru 16200207, 16200209, 16200211 thru 16200225, 16200227 thru 16200237 REASON Cessna has received information that some MS21042L08 Nuts installed on the airplane at the time of manufacture may not have been made according to MS Specification. DESCRIPTION This service bulletin provides parts and instructions to remove and replace the MS21042L08 Nuts installed on the airplane. COMPLIANCE RECOMMENDED. This service bulletin should be accomplished at the next 100-hour or 12-month (annual-type) inspection. A service bulletin published by Cessna Aircraft Company may be recorded as "completed" in an aircraft log only when the following requirements are satisfied: 1) The mechanic must complete all of the instructions in the service bulletin, including the intent therein. 2) The mechanic must correctly use and install all applicable parts supplied with the service bulletin kit. Only with written authorization from Cessna Aircraft Company can substitute parts or rebuilt parts be used to replace new parts. 3) The mechanic or airplane owner must use the technical data in the service bulletin only as approved and published. 4) The mechanic or airplane owner must apply the information in the service bulletin only to aircraft serial numbers identified in the Effectivity section of the bulletin. 5) The mechanic or airplane owner must use maintenance practices that are identified as acceptable standard practices in the aviation industry and governmental regulations. No individual or corporate organization other than Cessna Aircraft Company is authorized to make or apply any changes to a Cessna-issued service bulletin, service letter, or flight manual supplement without prior written consent from Cessna Aircraft Company. Cessna Aircraft Company is not responsible for the quality of maintenance performed to comply with this document, unless the maintenance is accomplished at a Cessna-owned Citation Service Center. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS

1. Prepare the airplane for maintenance.

A. Make sure that the airplane is electrically grounded.

B. Make sure that all switches are in the OFF/NORM position.

C. Disconnect electrical power from the airplane (if installed).

D. Remove the engine cowl. (Refer to the Model 162 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 71, EngineCowling - Maintenance Practices.)

E. Disconnect the airplane battery.

F. Disengage the SEC PWR circuit breaker, found on the instrument panel.

G. Attach maintenance warning tags to the battery and external power receptacle that have "DO NOTCONNECT ELECTRICAL POWER - MAINTENANCE IN PROGRESS" written on them.

2. (Refer to Figure 1.) Find, remove, and replace the MS21042L08 Nut at each of the 23 locations shownin Figure 1, Sheets 1 through 8. (Refer to the Model 162 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 20, TorqueData - Maintenance Practices.)

NOTE: Before you remove the MS21042L08 nut, mark the position of the aileron stop so it can beinstalled in the same position.

3. Do a check of the aileron travel. (Refer to the Model 162 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 27, AileronControl System - Maintenance Practices.)

4. Remove the maintenance warning tags and connect the airplane battery.

5. Install the engine cowl. (Refer to the Model 162 Maintenance Manual, Chapter 71, Engine Cowling -Maintenance Practices.)

6. Engage the SEC PWR circuit breaker.

7. Make an entry in the airplane logbook that states compliance and method of compliance with thisservice bulletin.
