Visit of President AFWWA (R)Air Force School 3BRD was graced by the visit of Mrs. Usha Kankaraj President AFWWA(Regional) HQMC IAF, on 10 Oct 13, Thursday. She wa s impressed by the achievements of theschool which were highlighted in the school report read by the Principal Mrs. Satinder Kaur. Thedignitary appreciated the creativity and innovativeness exhibited by the children in their craft work.She was all praise for the Smart Class set-up in the school.
Ad-Bag CompetitionAn Inter House Ad Bag competition was organized for classes IX and X at school premises.
Group Dance (Folk) CompetitionGroup Dance competition in Folk category was conducted from classes III to IX on 09 Oct 13.

Creative Story Writing ContestA creative story writing contest was organised by Balaji Telefilms in school premises from classesIII to X on 26 Oct 13. The students had written the story with a title and moral. Topics for variouscategories were given on the spot.
Hasya Kavi SammelanThe students of classes III to IX presented a wonderfulshow by reciting humorous Hindi poems which enthralledone and all on 30 Oct 13. Dressed up like young and oldpoets the children recited their poems and mesmerizedthe judges. It was an Inter-House competition and theparticipants were from various age groups.
Visit of Wg Cdr P Arora Command Accounts Officer Wg Cdr P Arora, CommandAccounts Officer, visited Air Force School 3BRD on 12 Nov 13 to check the books of Accountsas part of CSI inspection.
Traffic Rules for KG WingAn activity was conducted on 11 Nov 13 in the traff ic park of the school for the kindergartensection to teach the basic traffic rules.
Children’s Day CelebrationsTo commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the students and teacherscelebrated Children’s Day on 13 Nov 13 in the school with great fervor and enthusiasm. Aspecial assembly was conducted by the teachers. The students were thrilled to see theirteachers perform activities like quiz and recitation of nursery rhymes. Fancy Dress competitionfor students of primary classes was also organised at this occasion. The Principal Mrs.Satinder Kaur appreciated the students and the staff for their combined efforts in making theprogramme enjoyable. Sweets were also distributed to children.

Pollution Prevention DayTo make the students aware of the importance of prevention of Pollution to kindergarten studentsschool celebrated Pollution Prevention Day on 02 Dec 13. Mrs. Nikhat Ali explained the students aboutthe kinds of pollution and the ways to prevent them.
Newspaper Reading CompetitionNewspaper Reading Competition was organized in the school premises for Classes IV to VI on04 Dec 13.
Annual Sports DayThe Annual Sports Day of AF School 3BRD for the academic session 2013-14 was organised atsports ground of 3 Base Repair Depot on 29 Nov 13. Wing Commander A KapoorChief Administrative Officer 3BRD was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The Chief Guest tooksalute while the NCC cadets and the students of four houses namely Shivaji, Tagore, Ashoka andGandhi carried out spectacular march past before the saluting dias.
The students of the school participated in various events with great zeal and enthusiasm. They tookpart in events like Drill, Yoga, Taekwondo and othe r synchronized display activities along withvarious track events like Sack Race, Slow Cycling and 100 mtrs dash. In addition to studentsevents various competitions among the parents, teachers and Group ‘D’ staff were also carried out.Master Sugam Manhas of class X was adjudged as the Best Boy and Ms. Ekta Mishra of class X wasadjudged as the Best Girl in Sports for the session 2013-14.
Out of four Houses of the School Gandhi House was declared as the ‘Best House in Sports’ on thebasis of their overall performance. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the winners. In hisaddress, the Chief Guest laid stress on the importance of sports and games in overall developmentof a child. The Chief Guest congratulated and appreciated the teachers for their hard work to makethe event successful.
