    Pressing the ECO button, or modifying themode or adjusting the set temperature toless than 24 C(75 F) will stop ECO operation.The ECO operation will be stopped automaticallyafter 8 hours. Under ECO operation, the settemperature should be 24 C(75 F) or more,it may result in insufficient cooling. If you feeluncomfortable, just press the ECO buttonagain to stop it.

    FRESH function( )When the FRESH function is initiated, theIonizer/Plasma Dust Collector(depending onmodels) is energized and will help toremove pollen and impurities from the air.

    When the Follow Me function is activated,the remote display is actual temperatureat its location. The remote control will sendthis signal to the air conditioner every 3minutes interval until press the FOLLOWME button again.

    The mosquito repellent module will beactivated which generate some frequencysound to scare off mosquito.

    Press this button to turn off the indoor screendisplay, and also turn off the Air conditionerbuzzer, the fan speed shifts to low, whichcreate a comfortable and quiet environment.Press it again to cancel this function.Under Do Not Disturb mode, the displaywill illuminate for 10 seconds while adjustingthe mode, set temperature or fan speed, etc.

    Your air conditioning unit has two timer-relatedfunctions:

    - sets the amount of timer afterwhich the unit wil l automatically turn on.

    - sets the amount of time afterwhich the unit wil l automatically turn off.

    The function allows you to set aperiod of time after which the unit willautomatically turn on, such as when youcome home from work.

    NOTE: As outdoor temperature drops,theperformance of your unit s HEAT functionmay be affected. In such instances, werecommend using this air conditioner inconjunction with other heating appliance.

  • Setting both TIMER ON and TIMER OFF at the same time

    Keep in mind that the time periods you set for both functions refer to hours after thecurrent time. For example, say that the current time is 1:00 PM, and you want the unitto turn on automatically at 7:00 PM. You want it to operate for 2 hours, then automa-tically turn off at 9:00 PM.

    Example: Setting the unit to turn on after 6 hours, operate for 2 hours, then turn off(see the figure below)

    Use the remote controller within a distance of 8 meters fromthe appliance, pointing it towards the receiver. Reception isconfirmed by a beep.

    The remote controller can be attached to awall or pillar by using a remote controller holder(not supplied, purchased separately).Before installing the remote controller, checkthat the air conditioner receives the signalsproperly.Install the remote controller with two screws.For installing or removing the remote controller,move it up or down in the holder.

    The following cases signify exhausted batteries.Replace old batteries with new ones.

    Receiving beep is not emitted when a signalis transmitted.Indicator fades away.

    The remote controller is powed by two drybatteries (R03/LR03X2) housed in the back rearpart and protected by a cover.(1) Remove the back cover of the remote

    controller.(2) Remove the old batteries and insert the new

    batteries,placing the(+) and (-) ends correctly.(3) Install the cover back on.

    When the batteries are removed, theremote controller erases all programming. Afterinserting new batteries, the remote controllermust be reprogrammed.

    CAUTIONS

    The air conditioner will not operate if curtains, doors orother materials block the signals from the remotecontroller to the indoor unit.Prevent any liquid from falling into the remote controller.Do not expose the remote controller to direct sunlight orheat.If other electrical appliances react to the remote controller,either move these appliances or consult your local dealer.Do not drop the remote controller. Handle with care.Do not place heavy objects on the remote controller,or step on it.

    CAUTIONS

    Do not mix old and new batteries or batteriesof different types.Do not leave the batteries in the remotecontroller if they are not going to be used for2 or 3 months.Do not dispose batteries as unsortedmunicipal waste. Collection of such wasteseparately for special treatment is necessary.

    The device could comply with the local national regulations.In Canada, it should comply with CAN ICES-3(B)/NMB-3(B).In USA, this device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject tothe following two conditions:(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and(2) this device must accept any interference received, including interference that

    may cause undesired operation.

    This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class Bdigital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed toprovide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation.This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if notinstal led and used in accordance wi th the instructions, may cause harmful interferenceto radio communicat ions. However, there is no guarantee that interference will notoccur in a particular installat ion. If th is equipment does cause harmful interference toradio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment offand on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of thefollowing measures:

    Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which thereceiver is connected.
