Dear Parishioners,

It is with great joy that I begin my ministry as

pastor of St. Joseph parish in my hometown of

Woonsocket this weekend while continuing as

Chaplain of St. Raphael Academy in Pawtucket and

Coordinator of Post-formation of Priests. After seven

years in the Office of Vocations-which have truly been

a blessing-I am very much excited to be returning to

parish ministry.

Woonsocket is my hometown but St. Joseph was not

my home parish although I had many

relatives here and visited the parish often. I have

always known St. Joseph’s as a parish of great faith

and together we will continue to build on that faith

instilled by God. I look forward to getting to know you

in the coming weeks and months and apologize in

advance if I ask your name more than once; you’ll be

meeting one new priest and I will be meeting hundreds

of parishioners and I will be doing my best to learn

names but it may take a little while.

I ask your prayers (and patience) as I take on this

new ministry and I assure you of my prayers for all of

you. St. Joseph pray for us.

God Bless and have a good week,

Fr. Fisette

A THANK YOU FROM FR. WOOLLEY Dear St. Joseph Parishioners, The Peace of Christ be with you. Thank you for the wonderful send off you gave me last week, the Mass was certainly one of the most beautiful liturgies I’ve celebrated at St. Joseph’s! Special thanks to the choir, the altar servers, all who attended, all who gave me cards and gifts, and especially to Kevin and Diane Plouffe for coming back to the parish from Burrillville to play timpani and violin, which really made the Mass so festive. Very special thanks to Barbara Knapp for single handedly putting on the reception in the auditorium, and to David Lahousse for generously making Dynamites for the luncheon. The Lord has certainly been very good to me during my time at St. Joseph’s! I will miss you all, but I hope to keep in touch! God bless, Fr. Woolley
