AIESEC School of languages or ASL is an initiative by AIESEC in Ludhiana. This project is summer project and will run in months of June and July. This project will be in 3 states of India and in 3 colleges, so intern gets to see and meet a lot of people. If you know your native language and want to teach others. This is the project for you. PROJECT VISIONThe project aims to raise the awareness people

among students about different cultures and. Also to start understanding the importance of learning foreign

language while they are being taught.

To teach student about new languages .To make people understand the importance of going

globalTo develop a global perspective

. To break the barriers between people from different backgrounds

AIM

Making students of India learn new languages to them and to open their mind for global diversity.

PROJECT IMPACT

WHY ASL?Teach your native language with teachers from 10

different countries in a whole new country.The project takes place in 3 states of India in three

colleges.Better understanding of the world and the diversity it

offers to each one of us.Discover yourself and the gifts that you are blessed

WHY LUDHIANA,INDIA?

More than 2 million migrants from over 18 states of India. No Health and Education services for more than 1.5 Million

people(46% of total population)Industry based city with large chunk of population is labor.

Safest city for tourist’s and interns. Cultural hub of Northern India and has very rich culture.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Project is going to occur in 3 states of India in

3 colleges.

The Project will shift to different college after every

two weeks.

Week 1 - The intern will teach native language of

his/her country to a class of university students.

Intern must prepare sessions and workshops about

cultural understanding and language topics.

Week 2&3 – Intern needs to improve the ability of

the students in grammar and conversation and

sharing the culture of his/her country.

Week 4&5- Interns will facilitate conversation

groups in the native language of his/her about

current and relevant subjects for professional and

personal development. To give a basic grip of

language to students.

Week 6 –Intern will ensure development of your

students language skills by tests, classes activities,

constant communication. Prepare report and

submit in the end of project, in order to ensure that

your experience will contribute to next batch of

interns.

Language barrier, difficulty in understanding accent

Abiding to Indian Culture, discipline and lifestyle followed at workplace and city

Making target audience specific material for workshops/sessions and keeping it simple to understand.

Becoming a part of the curriculum and staff rather than just a visiting member

Understanding Accent Getting used to a different cultural environment
