Who we are and what we do

The Aid and International Development Forum (AIDF) is the world leading forum specialising in disaster relief, food security and water security.

We unite all stakeholders from government, UN agencies, intergovernmental agencies, NGOs and the private sector by providing a platform for independent debate and knowledge exchange, and for establishing long-lasting partnerships. For over 12 years, AIDF has been committed to improving aid and international development through research and high profile events in Geneva, Bangkok, Nairobi, Washington DC, Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.

What we believe

AIDF recognises the need to bring the current issues of disaster relief, food security and water security to the forefront of global, local, political, economic and social agendas. We believe that collaboration and partnership across regions and sectors are key for aid and sustainable development goals to be met.

AIDF has allowed me to build a very diverse level of partnerships with big organisations who are interested in humanitarian affairs as well as small entrepreneurs.’’

Rosa Malango, Chief of External Relationships and Partnerships, UN-OCHA

What we provide

With a history spanning over a decade, our events offer engaging platforms for high level networking, an exploration of strategic alliances and cross-sector engagement. Our events and reports are produced based on contributions from world leading experts including FAO, UNEP, UNESCAP, WFP, ADB, GAIN, IRRI, UN-OCHA, World Vision, UNOPS, USAID, Red Cross, World Bank, Aidmatrix, CIPS and many others.

It is my great pleasure and honour to attend a world leading platform that gathers experts and leaders on water security and related areas from government, UN, NGOs and the private sector. This is an excellent place where we can share, discuss and contribute ideas and experiences on how to promote sustainable water management and address water security on the international stage.”

Food Security

Global food systems are increasingly at risk. Rising demand, scarce resources and increased volatility are putting new pressures on agriculture and food programmes.

Governments, companies, international agencies and civil society groups are looking for new approaches to food security and agricultural growth, leveraging new investments while ensuring sustainability for communities and the environment.

Our summits and reports provide the opportunity to influence political debate, learn about the latest technologies and services in action, and leverage new investments.
