INVITATIONDear colleagues and guests,
Already a landmark event in the calendars of all FOGSIans, the AICOG Congress reaches this year its 62nd edition.
With gratitude towards the faculty and the participants, the Organizing Committee and Team BENGALURU are delighted to invite you to AICOG 2019, which will be held from the 8th to the 12th of JANUARY 2019, at the PALACE GROUNDS, BENGALURU.
Every year this event brings together and promotes an international exchange of the latest concepts, innovative techniques and development ideas in the medical field, offering an unique opportunity to participants: that of interacting with distinguished medical professionals and researchers.
We will make it our goal to continue the successful work of past editions in order to emphasize the great impact of this event in the scientific community. We hope that this year’s congress will turn into a highlight by offering the best in the fields of Obstetric and Gynecology.
Because we consider that the essence of the womens’ healthcare consists in combining all the clinical fields and recognizing the masterpieces and evolution in science, in making an impact, this year’s motto of Congress is
“WOMEN’S HEALTH IS NATION’S WEALTH”It is a great pleasure for us to invite you all to intensive academic discussions in a stimulating atmosphere where beauty and hospitality combines in equal measure. In addition to attending the congress, you will have the chance to experience BENGALURU, a symbol in culture which is a mix of ancient and modern. Being one of the leading national centers of social, cultural, academic and artistic life, it offers an expansive variety of things to see and do.
Pleasant weather, picturesque gardens and parks, friendly people and a lively night life are just a few examples of the reasons why BENGALURU is a valuable city. Seize the opportunity of socializing with other health professionals from all over the world and get the most out of the feeling of presenting your work in a competitive environment!
We are looking forward to greeting you at AICOG 2019!
Best regards

My dear FOGSIans,
Hope you are in the best of health and spirit. It gives me a sense of great pleasure to invite you for the mega FOGSI event - 62nd AICOG to be held in Bengaluru from 8th to 12th January 2019.
The organising team has been working tirelessly to formulate a superb scientific program and practical workshops involving the best of academics and the latest evidence based clinical practices in OBGYN. The eminent invited international and national faculty will be sharing their priceless experience and expertise in various aspects of women’s health. Besides this, the well designed social and fellowship events will certainly help reconnect with old and initiate new associations and friendships.
As I lead this organization as its President, my theme for the year 2019 is “We for Stree – Safer, Stronger, Smarter” which is aimed at making India’s women safer, stronger & smarter as we march towards 2020.
I strongly believe that you as one of 35,000 FOGSI members will support in this endeavor enthusiastically and selflessly.
I hope that you will participate in the proceedings at the AICOG as I’m sure that it will significantly benefit you in your practice and contribute to the upliftment of women’s health in India.
Eagerly looking forward to seeing you all in person in Bengaluru.
Yours truly,
With warm regards,
Dr Nandita Palshetkar President FOGSI, 2019
Dear FOGSIans,
Greetings to one and all. Yet another year gone by successfully and we are all waiting to meet again in the beautiful city of Bengaluru at a beautiful venue and a theme which emphasizes the contributions of women in the development and progress of any nation. My heartiest congratulations to team Bengaluru for a wonderful choice of venue and great scientific programme with faculty from all over the world.
“We cannot all succeed, if half of us are held back” Malala Yousaf
Today India has placed itself at such a position where the world now looks at us for many initiatives regarding women’s health and we are slowly and steadily catching up with the developed world as far as our numbers are concerning MMR, NMR and also provision of respectful quality care and this is all thanks to all of you FOGSIans for providing dedicated selfless service and support from the Government of India. We all need to work hand in hand to make India’s dream of meeting the challenges in reproductive health and also expanding opportunities to reach our horizons of flawless maternal and child health care.
“Find your passion, learn how to add value to it, and commit to a lifetime of learning (via Gaiam life)”
Ray Kurzweil
AICOG is much sought after for many facets, it is not only constantly updating in the field, but also a lot of learning, becoming aware of what’s new in our subject, newer instruments, equipment and drugs. We also get an opportunity to bond with fellow colleagues nationally and internationally, exchange ideas and techniques.
I wish team Benguluru all the best for a great event and am eagerly look forward to seeing you all.

WHeN IN BANGALORE, DON’T MISS!
Bangalore ISKCON Temple: ISKCON Bangalore is a charitable society with the objective of propagating Krishna Consciousness all over the world, as explained by Srila Prabhupada, whose teachings are based on Bhagavad-gita and Srimad Bhagavatam.
The Bangalore Palace built in the Tudor-style is often believed to have drawn inspiration from the Windsor Castle of England. Complete with Gothic windows and richly carved interiors, the palace has fortified towers. The sprawling grounds around the palace are used for hosting public events and concerts. The construction of this architectural splendour was supervised by the then Maharaja Sri Chamaraja Wodeyar and constructed in 1887.
The Vidhana Soudha or the Karnataka State Legislative Assembly is an awe-inspiring construction that was completed in 1956. Built in a Mysore Neo-Dravidian style, the building draws heavily from Indo-Saracenic and Dravidian styles. It is complete with imposing granite columns and a dome 60 feet in diameter crowned by a likeness of the Indian national emblem.

The Cubbon Park, Sri Chamarajendra Park is a beautiful sightseeing attraction, with 300 acres of green foliage. Originally created in 1870, when Major General Richard Sankey was the then British Chief Engineer of Mysore state, later renamed after the longest-serving commissioner of the time, Sir Mark Cubbon, to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of Sri Krishnaraja Wodeyar’s rule.
The Bull Temple built in Dravidian style by Kempe Gowda, Nandi or the Bull is carved out of a single block of granite. It is one of the biggest monolithic Nandi (Bull) statues of the world
