President’s ReportThe 2013 Queensland Young Credit Professional of the Year Award sponsored by D&B was held at Tattersall’s Club in Brisbane and was a testament to the quality of talent in the Queensland credit industry. It is also exciting and promising to see the support of the not-so-young credit professionals who support this event. The AICM Queensland Branch combined the YCP announcement with the presentation of Certificate IV in Credit Management; Diploma of Credit Management excellence awards and two member elevations.

I would like to thank the following Companies that were represented and showed their commitment to excellence by having finalists in the various categories, JBS Australia; NAB; Parmalat; NCI (Brokers) Pty Ltd; Westpac; Hyne & Sons Pty Ltd; Tillys Crawler Parts Pty Ltd; CNW Pty Ltd; Veolia Environment Services (Aust) Pty Ltd; Stoddart Group; and Adbri Masonry.

This years’ recipient is Katrina Sander of Tilley’s Earthmoving Spare Parts.

The Les & Peg Crook Memorial Excellence Award for a Diploma in Financial Services graduate recognizes the contribution of a founding member of the Queensland Branch Les Crook, a past president and who with his wife Peg gave over 20 years of service to the Institute by giving freely of their time and expertise in an endeavor to raise the profile and professional level of our industry. The recipient this year is Ashley McNamara of Veolia Environmental Services.
