– CAMDS: China Automobile Materials Database System.

• 20+ domestic vehicles players: steering committee;• Trainings (elementary, middle level, tailor-made);• Recyclable materials research (PTL): 65 technologies;• Tech. or materials research replacing materials

Assessment of Passenger Car, by MEP ( 乘用车内空气质量评价指南 )• Scope: in-car air quality,• Effective on March 1st, 2012• 8 VOCs: benzene, toluene, xylene, ethylbenzene,

styrene, formaldehyde, acetaldehyde, acrolein;

• In NTCAS, GEELY drafted the first standard of VOC testing method, "The detection methods for VOC, aldehydes and ketone of in-car non-metal materials and components”– Bag method(widely used by Japanese cars);

Box method(widely used by EU high-end cars)

Goal & Work Plan in 2014:– Keep following ELV and its supporting

regulation/standards– Enhance networks with MIIT, CATARC and Vehicle

Manufacturers

– Plan to visit stakeholder: vehicle manufacturers;– Survey on CAMDS training;

– A big event - SUAL 2014, which will be organized by SUAL and CATARC, in Aug.
