Sub: Nominations for the Board of Amnesty International Thailand year 2014-2016 Dear Member of Amnesty International Thailand, Attachments: 1. Application Form 2. Board’s roles and responsibilities Amnesty International Thailand Boards decided to hold the 2014 Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday July 5th 2014 (location to be announced). At this coming AGM, two of the committee members will finish their term:

1. Mr. Somchai Homlaor Chair 2. Mr.Chamnan Chanruang Board Member

We therefore invite interested members to apply for this important mission by taking the following steps:

• Complete and submit the Online Nomination Form or • Email the completed application form as an attachment to Pakamas Kamcham at:

admin@amnesty.or.th Applications must be received by April 30, 2014. Amnesty International Thailand’s bylaws require that a nominee for Chair and Board Member must:

• Have a minimum of 2 years membership of Amnesty International Thailand (Chair applicant) • Have a minimum of one year membership of Amnesty International Thailand (Board member

applicant) • Support the abolishment of the death penalty • Support the end of torture

In addition, all nominees are required to participate in activities organized by Amnesty International Thailand and the orientation to fully recognize the nature of the role and responsibilities of the mission. Filming a clip on May 10 or May 17 2014 regarding applicants’ vision will be required. The issue of human rights both in Thailand and worldwide will continue in the direction of positive change with ideas, opinions, and support from fellow members. This mechanism will help accomplishing the mission of the organization.
