Message from the CEO

Dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to welcome you again to our second newsletter of this year. The first issue had a positive impact on all stakeholders; who saw a new dimension of reach to the essential human capital of Dar Al Dawa. This encouragement gives us more energy to invest in such dynamic communication tools and give them our utmost attention and support. We are half ways through this very challenging year; where we are witnessing a complete restructuring process of our marketing and sales department and a major shift in our marketing strategies with more focus on in-market sales, ethical and scientific promotion tactics and close monitoring and evaluation of individual, functional and geographical achievements. We have also concluded (Dar Al Dawa First Annual conference) that was successfully held in Budapest; Hungary, with extensive participation of a large group of professional GP’s and Internists from Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Lebanon. In addition, a similar event was held in Lesbouna; Portugal, for a group of Urologists from Algeria. Such events are a materialization of our ambitious marketing and promotional strategies and a part of a group of similar events planned till the end of this year. These events were also opportunities to identify and acknowledge some of the best achievers among our staff in the sales and marketing department in various markets served by DAD. They did some great efforts in making these events a big success for DAD and they made it more realistic that we are on the right track towards creating a high performance organization. We have conducted a detailed business review for all major markets following the impressive results of Q1, and we had the opportunity to discuss potential aspects of improvement with all concerned employees. I wish to take this opportunity to convey a direct message to each individual and each manager in our organization. My message to the individual is about the need and importance to excel in each assignment or job and to always be certain that this excellence will be realized and appreciated and will be a solid path for growth and development of career at DAD. As for the manager, my message is to believe that part of the evaluation of a successful manager is the ability to develop and improve the performance of subordinates. For me, the first thing I think about when I meet an excellent performer is the manager who was behind the development and motivation of such an asset to the organization.
