CMS gate reviews seemed to be a priority of discussion as it was mentioned throughout the RFP.

Tailored more for a smaller market.

Great balance of standards (6) were followed as well as the associated risks identified (5)

Project Manager - PMP Certified as well as 100% dedicated to the Project

All key staff members have either HIX experience or experience around IV&V in the Government Health Programs.

Great detail around managing the control of the project and the tasks associated with it as well as the overall risks. Good display of tools in use to track them as well.

Went into good detail around other contractor responsibilities and gave a nice chart displaying support for other clients in the CMS gate review process

Good detail around Checklist for CMS blueprint reviews, risk analysis, etc.

As mentioned as one of their weaknesses, there were a few categories that strayed from the needed structure but other than that the RFP was easy to read and follow.

Overall content was included, there were several categories that were lumped into a template form that we had to hunt for the required information

Key staff members would be dedicated 100% onsite in LR. No reports were given within initial RFP

Project Manager has various IV&V experience around HIX. Tab structure was not properly checked before sending as the last few sections were tabbed with a sticky note instead of actual labels

Identified 7 key areas of risk/potential problem areas. Project Manager has no PMP nor do any of the Key staff members.

Company has various experience in HIX/CMS dealings as well as Government/Commercial work. One of the key staff members dedicated 100% to this project has been employed by numerous company’s over last 8 years.

Good detail around the project control and working with CMS and the gate reviews Reports were more around the template structure of a word format.

Provides additional methodologies around tasks, such as (Quality, Training, Requirements, Operations, Development, Testing, Data management and CMS Blueprint)

RFP followed necessary structure and was easy to read with all needed content provided. Only vendor to use a subcontractor and the subcontractor only has a total of 3 employees. Position would be the Lead IV&V Analyst

Project Manager dedicated up to 100% of time depending on phase and has over 19 years of IV&V experience. Project manager is currently on 7 projects and we require him to be 100% dedicated to ours. So how does that fit in with the other 7?

Project Manager is PMP certified. Lacks a dashboard so you have to dig through the template/document to maybe find what you're looking for.

Out of the 6 responses, they follow the most strict set of Industry Standards

HIX experience as well as good experience in the IV&V Government healthcare and commercial marketplace.

Great detail around signoff procedures with all deliverables passed through a Level One Review by project staff and a Level Two Review by the Project Manager before they are submitted in draft format to AHIM

Project Control Tasks included good detail around CMS deliverable milestones.

Lead Analyst (although a sub-contractor) does have over 12 years of IV&V experience and over 9 years with current company as well as dedicated to project 90-100% of time.
