Summit Hosts and Leaders

Brenda Barker Scott has extensive experience in all aspects of organizational development acquired over a twenty-year career in teaching and consulting. When working with leadershipteams, she combines strong theoretical knowledge with practical methodologies to ensure that the right people are engaged in the right conversations to design robust and workablesolutions. Brenda is an instructor on a number of the Queen’s IRC programs including BuildingSmart Teams, HR Decision Making, Organization Development Foundations, and OrganizationalDesign. Brenda has been a keynote speaker for the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Conference Board of Canada, the Human Resources Planners Association of Ontario, and theCanadian Institute for Health Research. She is co-author of Building Smart Teams: A Roadmap toHigh Performance.

Anne Grant is a full-time mediator and conflict resolution professional. Her dispute resolutionpractice includes extensive mediation of labour and civil disputes, and she specializes in the assessment and restoration of poisoned work environments as well as conducting a range ofworkplace investigations. Anne is published provincially and nationally in the areas of ADR andlegal issues in health care. She is also President of the ADR Institute of Ontario. Anne teaches onthe IRC’s Labour Relations Foundations and Mastering Fact-Finding and Investigation programs.

Paul Juniper, MA, CHRL, SPHR, became the Director of Queen's University IRC in 2006. Paul is aleading and respected figure in Canada's HR community, with over 30 years of experience inhuman resources and association leadership. Paul was an interim CEO of the Human ResourcesProfessionals Association of Ontario (now known as HRPA), President of its Board, and was in-strumental in the adoption of a degree requirement for certification in human resources. Paul’sresearch focuses on the state of the HR profession both in Canada and around the globe. Hespeaks regularly at national and international conferences on trends in human resources, andthe ways in which individuals and their organizations can continue to raise the bar on HR. He developed and designed the Queen’s IRC's Advanced HR programming to meet the increasingly complex professional development needs of HR practitioners. He teaches on theAdvanced HR, Strategic Workforce Planning, Linking HR Strategy to Business Strategy and Building Trust in the Workplace programs.

Diane Locke is a senior partner at a Toronto-based human resource management consultancy.She has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of executive assessment, leadership development and talent management, including both internal and external consulting roles.Diane is a Certified Executive Coach (CEC) who obtained her Master’s Degree in Psychologyfrom the Adler School of Professional Psychology and holds an Honours Bachelor of BusinessAdministration Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. Diane is an experienced facilitator andfrequent speaker on talent management, and leadership assessment and development at programs across Canada. She is the lead facilitator for the Queen’s IRC Talent Management program.

Françoise Morissette has been a facilitator at Queen’s IRC since 1994, and was made a Fellowin 2006. She currently teaches on the OD Foundations and Coaching Skills programs. As a consultant, Françoise is a major contributor to the field of Organizational Development, with amajor emphasis on leadership. Through a variety of interventions, she helps individuals, organizations and communities enhance their leadership capacity. She is also a much in demand speaker in both official languages, and regularly presents nationally and internation-ally. She co-wrote Made in Canada Leadership with Amal Henein, and is currently implementingthe major recommendation made by research participants: the implementation of a ‘Go to Resource’ for everything leadership in the country, called LeaderCity Canada.

If you have taken a Queen’s IRC program in the past, you are eligible for the alumni discount (cost is $775/person).Bring your team and SAVE: 2-4 people ($895/person), 5 or more ($595/person). You must register together to receive the discounted pricing. Once you register, we will send you a confirmation by email.

Program fees include materials for the day, snacks and lunch. You are responsible for transportation and accommodation, if required.

PAYMENTIf you are registering online, you may pay by Visa or MasterCard. You may also choose to be invoiced first, and payby cheque (payable to Queen's IRC) or credit card. You may also wish to call us with your credit card number tomake the payment.

If your organization is tax exempt, we will require a copy of your tax exemption certificate.

CANCELLATION POLICYSubstitutions are permitted with no penalty. Cancellations are permitted with no penalty up to 15 days prior to theSummit. Cancellations 14 days or less from the Summit will be subject to a 100% charge of the fee.
