It is its versatility that makes the Agro-

kid such a valued workhorse. Whether

being used by itself, in combination with

a front loader, or as a pulling vehicle,

there is almost no task too challenging for

the Agrokid. This compact tractor from

DEUTZ-FAHR is anything but small when

it comes to reliably carrying out a widevariety of tasks for gardening and land-

scaping companies and for districts and

municipalities. With a narrow frame and a

turning radius of just 2.60 m, the Agrokid

can be used in places where the big guys

cannot go.

Four-wheel drive, impressive pulling pow-er, and a top speed of 30 km/h enable the

Agrokid to achieve ultrahigh productivity.

Not so with the Agrokid, a typical DEUTZ-

FAHR that combines design with ergono-

mics, comfort and convenience. We give

you sufficient space, a comfortable seat

and ergonomically-designed controls forthe lifting hydraulics and remote valves,

right. The layout of the controls in the

dashboard and in the console on the right,

together with the generously sized driver

platform, make it easy to operate the

Powerful drivetrain

The Agrokid is available in three different

versions (210, 220 and 230) with one of

three new Mitsubishi 4-cylinder diesel en-

gines ranging in output from 39 to 50 HP

(29 - 37 kW). The engines are extremely

quiet and meet the requirements of theTIER III emissions standard.

With up to 1.8 liters of displacement, the

high torque and elasticity of the power-

plants translate into problem-free load

shifts and less gear shifting. The powerful

cooling system is easily accessible and

easy to clean thanks to the wide opening

angle of the hood. The 38-liter fuel tankcan accommodate one third more fuel

than comparable tractors. An additional

15-liter tank is available on request.

Always in the right gear

The robust, synchronized 12 / 12 shuttle

transmission with pressure lubrication

saves time when turning and maneuvering.

A genuine tractor

An agile machine that can be easily used in

challenging terrain: With a steering angle

of up to 57 degrees, the Agrokid is also

well suited to maneuvering in the tight-

est of spots. High ground clearance not

only provides for sure footing on uneven

ground and when encountering ruts, but

also greatly reduces the risk of damage

caused by objects (such as curbs) hitting

the underbody. Even when an implement

is mounted in the centre of the vehicle,

the remaining ground clearance is suffi-

cient. The Agrokid features a robust chas-

sis that is made to withstand very heavy

drawbar loads (up to 600 kg, depending

on the tires used) and trailer loads at the

coupling jaw (up to 4,000 kg).

Big tractor capability, small size

The Agrokid is capable of performing a

wide variety of tasks, thanks to its front,

centre and rear PTO. Engageable four-

wheel drive and differential locks with

100 percent efficiency in both axles pro-

vide for excellent traction. The high-per-

formance hydraulic control system and

versatile auxiliary hydraulics make the

tractor suited for almost any application.

Designed for municipalities and gardening

and landscaping companies, the Agrokid is

not only compact; it also has a favorable

power-to-weight ratio.

Three implement mounting points

The Agrokids three PTO mounting points

allow for a wide variety of applications forfront, centre and rear-mounted imple-

ments. A ground-speed PTO is available

for special jobs. The rear PTO supplies

540/540E rpm in the standard version

as well as a ground-speed PTO. The op-

tional front PTO powers implements with

1,000 rpm and runs independently of the

rear PTO.

Safety halt

The braking system also meets the high-

est requirements; cooled oil-immersed

disk brakes on the rear wheels (Lifetime

version standard) guarantee precise

and reliable braking under all conditions.

For improved traction, the front wheels

can be additionally activated (all-wheel

drive) and the electrically-activated front

and rear differential locks used (100 per-cent efficient).

Up to three additional remote valves and up

to 8 remote connections

The Agrokid is equipped with a high-perfor-

mance hydraulic system that has a pump

capacity of 30 liters per minute. This en-

sures short lifting times and fast, precise

operation. The separate steering hydraulic

system also makes the tractor easy to

steer and maneuver at low speeds and is

an especially unique feature in its class.

A lifting capacity of up to 400 kg at the

front and up to 1,200 kg in the rear make

the Agrokid well suited to powering heavyimplement combinations. The hydraulic

system has position, draft and combined

control. The robust 3-point couplings at

the front (Cat. 0) and the rear (Cat. I;

Agrokid 230 optionally available with

Cat. II) facilitate easy connection of im-

plements. With 700 mm of lifting travel,

the Agrokid has a wide lifting range. This

range can be further extended by changing

the lift bars.

Exceptionally convenient

Included among the Agrokids list of stan-

dard equipment are two additional remote

valves and eight remote connections,found at the front, centre and rear of the

tractor. A non-pressurized recirculation

circuit at both ends of the vehicle allows

for continuous operation of hydraulic mo-

tors. An additional remote valve can be

fitted on request.

The Agrokid covers all requirements. Avail-

able accessory equipment includes: a

snow plow with spreader for reliable snow

clearing, a front or center-mounted mower

unit with bagger for lawn mowing, a rear

digger for excavation work, sweeping at-

tachments for cleaning walks, and a front

loader for performing a wide variety of loa-ding work.

The mechanical powerlift control provides for simple and

efficient regulation of the rear hydraulics. The third additional

remote valve is actuated via a toggle switch.

Fast, daily maintenance

Daily maintenance is quick and easy and

can be completed in next to no time simply

by folding back the cowling which opens to

the rear. All service points such as the air

and oil filter, oil dipstick, oil filler neck and

liquid cooler can be accessed without the

need for tools. The side parts can also be

removed without tools for fast and direct

access to the engine. The cab air filters

are easy to reach from the outside.

Long maintenance intervalsThe regular maintenance intervals for the

engine are so long they are almost unique.

The engine oil, for example, only has to

be changed every 300 hours of opera-

tion. The transmission oil and its filters do

not need to be replaced until after 1,200

hours. That and the low cost of wearing

and maintenance parts means that the

operating costs for an Agrokid are satis-

fyingly low.

1+2 The oil filler neck and dipstickare very

easy to reach. Long maintenance intervals

cut the operating costs for servicing andmaintenance.

3 The cartridge of the intake air filter is

easily pulled to the side after the clips have

been detached.

4 The fuses are located directly on
