ELKAY AGRO ADJUVANT SOLUTIONS
SILICONE SUPERWETTERS
▪ Better pick-up of fertilizer and PGRs
▪ More effective pesticides/fungicides
▪ Lower spray volume and better coverage
▪ Reduced spray run-off and wastage
Beading No Beading
Most plants have waxy hydrophobic
surfaces. Beaded water drops may look
pretty on them – but during product
application, this leads to ineffective
coverage, product falling off plant into the
soil and reduced time it remains on the
plant.
Silicone super-wetting adjuvants can be
added to any agricultural product to
enhance spreading and penetration.
HIGHER CROP YIELDS
LOWER COSTS
KEY FEATURES OF AG PRODUCTS
* NP10 is nonyl phenyl ethoxylate, LABSA is linear alkyl benzene sulphonic acid
Plain Water ~72 dynes/cm With ~32 dynes/cm surfactant With ~21 dynes/cm surfactant
Large contact angle, poor wetting Small contact angle, decent wetting Zero contact angle, super wetting
e.g. Plain Water e.g. Organics*– NP-10, LABSA, EOs e.g. AG Platinum Trisiloxy adjuvant
• Most water falls off the plant
• Chemical wastage
• Soil contamination
• No stomatal penetration
• No rainfastness
• Very slow drying
• Poor coverage
• Little water falls off the plant
• Lower Chemical wastage
• Lower oil contamination
• No stomatal penetration
• Limited rainfastness
• Medium drying times
• Good coverage
• Only excess water falls off
• Minimal chemical wastage
• Minimal contamination
• Stomatal penetration
• Excellent rainfastness
• Quick drying
• Complete coverage
SILICONE SUPERWETTERS
KEY FEATURES OF AG PRODUCTS
▪ Excellent wetting agent, useful at very low concentrations
▪ Surface tension range 20-22 dynes/cm.
▪ Due to the extremely low surface tension, aqueous
solutions of the adjuvant show excellent spreading ability
▪ Low hydrodynamic volume gives fast action and
eliminates possibility of drops falling before spreading -
very useful for sprays to cover a surface quickly
* NP10 is a commonly used surfactant - nonyl phenyl ethoxylate

KEY FEATURES OF AG PRODUCTS
AG products are organo-silicone based adjuvants• Can super-wet soil, textiles, wood, other inorganic/organic
substrates*
• Can penetrate any surface with porosity quickly
• Safe, non-corrosive and effective
• No APEOs
• Compatible with most formulations - tank and in-can mixes**
• Non-ionic
• REACH pre-registered
* This product is neither tested nor represented as suitable for medical or pharmaceutical uses.
**As a tank additive, ensure pH is 5-8 (use within 24 hours of addition). In formulations ensure pH is buffered to 6.5-7.5.

surfactant
Addition of 0.1% AG-100 gives
penetration into cellulose

ELKAY ADJUVANT STUDY DATA
Water consumption reduction
▪ Water for lawn and turf care can be reduced
by up to 50% when used at 0.05% in regular
water without affecting grass quality
Wetting of hydrophobic soils is possible
▪ Water logging in fields can be eliminated
Products are safe and non-toxic*
*Toxicity and phyco-toxicity studies when used at the recommended dosage from Government of India accredited laboratories.
Hydrophobic soil prevents water penetration
Treated soil instantly absorbs water
This prevents hydrophobization of soil,
allows deeper roots and healthier grass

▪ Other farmer savings are:
▪ 1/3 water saved
▪ 1/3 labour saved
▪ 1/3 pesticide/herbicide/fungicide saved
▪ Better soil quality

• 125ml/hectare/spray (2 sprays on 750000 hectare in India ~ 187
MT/year adjuvant)
• At Rs 30/kg sale price, adjuvant gave Rs 3.7 lakh/hectare extra profit.
• Considering all the parameters studied, treatment T6 i.e. 0.05%
AG100 spray (2 times) was found to be the best compared to control.
• Even by doing only one spray mixed with 0.05% AG100, yield is
significantly increased, even over 2 sprays without adjuvant

▪ Study with Zn, Mg and Fe micronutrients on flowers (3 sprays with
and without adjuvant) at College of Agriculture, Pune
• AG series silicone adjuvant was observed useful for
the quality improvement and yield enhancement of
gerbera crop.
• Spreading is an important parameter for foliar
applications and this was observed excellent with
using AG series silicone adjuvant.
• AG 100 is superior adjuvant and improved yields by
21% over control and 12% over competitive non
silicone adjuvant.
