To assist in meeting these challenges, Environmental Health revised standards for motion picture catering operators and developed a Motion Picture Catering Operation (MPCO) Public Health Permit. This permit covers a mobile food facility, no more than two mobile storage vehicles, and outdoor food preparation and service areas where the operator is under contract to operate at a licensed film studio or at a site with a permit for filming on location issued by the appropriate city or county. MPCO Public Health Permit Application # is issued to with the following conditions: 1. The MPCO will only contract to operate at a site with a permit from the local city/county for on-location filming or at a licensed film studio. When operating at a licensed film studio or site with a permit for on location filming, grade cards will not be posted. 2. A MFF with a MPCO Public Health Permit that operates at a location other than a licensed film studio or site with a permit for on location filming requires a separate mobile food facility permit and posting of a letter grade (if operating in an area subject to the grading ordinance). 3. The MPCO must meet requirements as stated on the Permit and Operational Requirements for Motion Picture Catering Operations. 4. All Mobile Storage Vehicles (MSV) that may be used as support vehicles must be disclosed at the time the MPCO Public Health Permit is issued. All MSVs disclosed during permitting must be approved through the plan check process prior to use, unless otherwise stated on the Mobile Storage Vehicle Plan Check Evaluation form. 5. The operator of the MPCO must disclose work locations either through a Route Reporting form; emailing or faxing work assignments 8 hours prior to the work assignment or as soon as possible when the operator is given less than 8 hours of notification; providing a business or cellular phone number that is accessible during all hours of business operation; or through DPH approved web or social media posting. The undersigned hereby agrees to comply with the above conditions and to operate the Motion Picture Catering Operation in accordance with all applicable State and local requirements.
