Additional 2017 JCSC Events

The JCSC will assist the Red Noland dealerships with the Annual Feast of Saint

Arnold Beer Festival at the Chapel of Our Savior Episcopal Church, 8 Forth Street

in the Broadmoor on Saturday, June 10, 2017. Volunteers are needed! Details on

Page 6 of this newsletter.

The Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado will be participating in each of the First

Saturday’s Car Shows from May thru October, 2017. These are fun events and only

require you to show up and display your car. We usually plan a breakfast or lunch

following each show. Our club will be the Host Club for the August First Saturday’s

show.

A new event for the JCSC will be the Old Colorado City Customs & Classics Car

Show on Sunday, August 20, 2017. The show runs from 9 A.M. to 3 P.M. and is a

multi marque event and is hosted by Rocky Mountain Mustangers, Southern

Colorado Mopars, SOCO Chevelle & El Camino Club and the Jaguar Club of

Southern Colorado. Details will be available shortly. We are seeking volunteers to

assist in conducting this show. If you are interested, contact Aaron at

Events@JagClub.org.

The JCSC will hold a drive to the British Motoring Conclave in 2017 in September.

We will provide additional information as soon as we receive firm dates for this

event.

Other events are in the planning stage and a detailed event calendar will be

published and posted in the club newsletter and on the JCSC website following

schedule confirmation.

2017 Pikes Peak Concours d’Elegance and British Motoring Festival

The 2017 Pikes Peak Concours d’Elegance and British Motoring Festival will be held

on Sunday, October 1, 2017. Details will be emailed to JCSC members and posters

will be displayed in many Colorado Springs businesses. Details will appear here in

upcoming months.

The Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado will be conducting Concours Judges training on Saturday, May 20. If you are not already a Concours judge, this an opportunity to get Involved in time for the 2017 Concours season. Concours Judging is a great way to really learn a lot about the fine points of Jaguar originality.

If you are interested in becoming a Concours Judge and attending this training session please contact Jack at the phone number listed below or by replying to ChiefJudge@JagClub.org or to Events@JagClub.org.

If you are currently a JCSC/JCNA Judge, this training is the annual refresher and will include updated Judging manuals. This is a required class to be qualified to Judge in 2017 events.

Red Noland Auto Group and the Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado will be participating in the annual Feast of Saint Arnold (patron saint of beer) Festival held at the Chapel of Our Savior Episcopal Church, 8 Fourth Street in the Broadmoor on Saturday, June 10, 2017. The Red Noland display at the event will be staffed by members of the Jaguar Club of Southern Colorado. It would help to have volunteers with some knowledge of Jaguar, Land Rover, Infinity and Cadillac. Below is a breakdown of Club participation in this event per Dan Martin.

• Volunteers needed from 10:30 am for setup and until 5:00 pm for tear down. • We could run two shifts. • Event runs 11:00 am to 4:30 pm on Saturday, June 10th. • Website is FeastofSaintArnold.com

We need maybe four or five club members (including me) to man the display and collect interest cards from people browsing. Of course our general admission tickets will be free as volunteers, which includes a glass so we can sample the offerings. We can wear our club shirts, badges, pins, etc. People browsing the cars displayed will fill out interest cards and I'll collect the cards to deliver to Thom the following Monday. With several of us enthusiasts there, some one or two could always break free for pottie breaks, food, and beverage sampling. We could do it with as few as two peo-ple, but that really cuts into beverage sampling opportunities and break time. Thom and the other dealers can't free people up on Saturdays, that's their busiest day. But brand enthusiasts can effectively represent the car brands and features, so sales people are not needed for this display duty. Here's how the request from event organizers came in (quoted below). For Sale: 1967 Triumph Trophy TR6. Displacement is 650 cc. Engine has had pistons, rings, hardened

valves, heavy duty clutch plates, rubber boots for forks, tachometer cable, gaskets, seals, and much more

updated.

The bike has 8,520 miles on the odometer and has never been wrecked or laid down.

The paint is mostly original. The seat is original and in very good condition.

I am the second owner. The original owner is also in Colorado Springs and he has the

original British license plate. It is possible he would sell it.
