Club kit

New club kit is currently in development. This is being designed by Mark (Get NoticedBranding) and will be manufactured by Endura. An online shop will be available for anorder window where members can order and pay for their own kit.

Bike Scene will kindly be sponsoring the kit once again, which will allow us to give a15% discount off the cost. Adult enduro jerseys are likely to cost around £39, under 12'sjerseys will be around £30. There is also a women's specific range too, including endurojerseys!

Turnaround for production is currently 7 weeks, so we are hoping to get this up andrunning in the next couple of weeks, ready for summer delivery.

Minutes of Meeting

Coaching & GuidingNick went over what the club delivered in 2017,and plans for 2018. (see report)

For adult riders it was agreed that we needed tocontinue the ladies coaching in particular. It was suggested that we should look intoalternative booking systems, as last year somerides were fully booked, but on the day noteveryone arrived.

The cost of coaching was also discussed. It wasfelt that often we we pricing ourselves to cheap, and riders from out of the area were becomingmembers, and paying for the coaching. This wasstill cheaper than coaching offered elsewhere.

For the summer skills sessions the club will beusing Mark Grange this year, as Karen is notavailable.

A BMX coaching session was suggested, as askills builder for junior riders. To be looked into.

Adoption Of Committee PositionsChair – Nick nominated by Dan, 2nd by Lois, all infavourTreasurer – Lois nominated by Nick, 2nd by Kate, all in favourSecretary – Dan nominated by Nick, 2nd by Mark, all in favourWelfare Officer – Kate nominated by Dan, 2nd byJohn, all in favour

Other ItemsChris Rudd and Tom Downie interested incoming along to committee meetings to havesome input. Nick welcomed idea, and goingforward any committee meetings to becommunicated to members, should they wish toattend. Meeting notes should also be madeavailable so members can see what ishappening, and again have input where desired.A junior representative should also be appointedto attend meetings, along with a supportingadult. The actual role to be investigated andworked up, then offered to interested parties.

Andrew Samanjoul pointed out that there is ayoung volunteers award running in October 18,for juniors looking to progress volunteering skills.

The old MTB Guisborough Ning social site wasfinally discussed. The site gets very little usenow, as more and more people are usingFacebook. Therefore a vote was passed with allin favour to close the site. Mark said it was theright thing to do, but noted that it was a sad timeas essentially the club was born from the Ningsocial site. RIP.
