Morris rift Habitat for Humanity® Aging in PLACE PROGRAM Morris Habitat for Humanity is ofering Seniors of Morris County, NJ a special home repair program that makes accessibility and energy efciency improvements to enable senior citizens to move around safely inside their homes and complete the routines of daily living. By doing this, the program hopes to help Morris County senior citizens continue to live in their own homes longer and maintain their independence.

Morris Habitat for Humanity is ofering Seniors of Morris County NJ a special home repair program that makes accessibility and energy efciency improvements to enable senior citizens to move around safely inside their homes and complete the routines of daily living By doing this the program hopes to help Morris County senior citizens continue to live in their own homes longer and maintain their independence

I am age 62 or older or someone else who lives in my home full-time is age 62

Cosmetic work is NOT covered under this program If your home is not a detachedsingle-family home (example a condo or mobile home) you may not be eligible for

Am I Eligible You may qualify for the Aging In Place Program if you meet all of the following criteria I own and live in my home full-time

or older My home is in Morris County NJ The city and county property taxes on my home are current The mortgage on my home is current or there is no mortgage on my home I meet the income guidelines for the program based on my income and the

income of everyone else who lives in my home (see chart on right) Homeowners insurance in place and current Rental properties are NOT eligible to receive assistance through this programAsk about our home repair program if under 62 ldquoCurrentrdquo means you are not being charged any interest fees or penalties onbalance OR you are meeting all the conditions of an agreed payment plan

What Kind of Work Will Be Done The work provided if any will be determined ONLY by Morris Habitat after an inspection ofthe home The type of work that may be provided includes

accessibility and safety of your home or energy

$How Much Does It Cost

Costs to the homeowner are only for purchased materials

and other needed professional services such as electricians

plumbers etc

bull Grab bars bull Weatherization bull Additional Handrails or securing handrails on stairs bull Roof repairsbull Changing door knobs to door levers bull Accessibility improvements bull Changing faucets to lever faucetsbull Installing handheld andor slidebar showerheadsbull Fixing andor replacing broken windowsbull Repairing simple water leaksbull Changing Incandescent light bulbs (Lifespan 1200 Hours Cost per Year $11)Year $100)

Basic landscape projects such asbull Sidewalk Repairs bull Yard cleanup (one time such as after a major storm)
