ACE – Westchester

ACE Westchester – Required replacement of the existing system where it’s inflexibility limited the ability to support the development of new niche product. These insurance products are distributed through General Agents who specialize in unique marketplace niches. An automated underwriting referral process was required to support the basic underwriting of the traditional “business”. The automated underwriting referral process will also facilitate profitable growth of Company.

Agile facilitated a focus vendor assessment that identified a vendor to meet ACE’s niche growth needs. The vendors that were evaluated were Duckcreek, Insurity, and CSC In-Point.

This engagement resulted in identification of system that facilitated ACE growing their business profitably through new product implementation while reducing overall expenses.

Hudson Specialty

Hudson was redeveloping its business strategy and requiring a policy administration system to facilitate growth as well as support existing program business. The required capabilities included the automation the premium and loss feeds from MGA and TPAs to support their program specialty business. This data would be reconciled and integrated within Hudson’s financial and existing data warehouse structure.

Completed a full RPF to vendor selection process within 3 month period of time. Met with business stakeholders to determine required capabilities, contact vendors and short listed demonstrations within business customers.

Additional Hudson engagements consolidating existing internal claims and claims from TPA to a new version of Claims system

Implemented an automated IBNR generation system that was used in monthly accounting close process

Coastal Insurance Risk Retention Group, Inc.

Coastal, a worker’s comp carrier serving physicians and hospitals in the State of Alabama, uses Genius system for all end-to-end policy and claims processing. Genius does not have adequate reporting mechanism

Agile provided design and analysis and build of a data warehouse consisting of data from the Genius system and also a reporting tool package selection.

As a result of this engagement Coastal no longer lacked visibility into their most important data and metrics. Improved reporting capability from new data warehouse and BI tools results in the ability to make better business decisions saving money.

Rockhill Insurance Company

Rockhill, is an excess and surplus carrier located in Kansas City, MO specializing in providing primary coverage for construction risks served by surplus lines. They needed to automate their highly manual processes in multiple areas of their business: Claims, Policy Processing, Reinsurance and Statutory Accounting. They wanted these software solutions in place quickly – and with little business interruption as possible. They needed to decide between custom building or buying the same capabilities from insurance software providers.

Agile assisted Rockhill with gathering requirements, provided a list of targeted vendors, developed a decision matrix rating each system, determined the right fit software solutions and managed the planning and integration process to deploy all of these applications.

As a result of this engagement Rockhill was able to fully deploy the new systems in four months and enjoy a cost savings of hundreds of thousands of dollars on software cost. They were able to decrease the time for processing claims by 70% and increase profits by getting better data for risk analysis and increased customer retention.

Builders Mutual Insurance Company

Builders Mutual, located in North Carolina, writes worker’s compensation, liability, accident, health and umbrella insurance for builders. BMI’s primary systems for end-to-end processing were CSC’s Point and Fiserv’s PDS. BMI was looking to move away from those systems and needed a vendor to oversee selection of new systems.

Agile provided a vendor study by gathering requirements from the BMI organizational process.

Throughout the process BMI benefited from Agile’s deep experience in worker’s compensation and insurance industry knowledge. The selection of new systems was smooth and less costly than if they worked with another vendor.
