How to Accept Payments from Clients Over the

Phone with Stripe: 1. First, you need to set up a Stripe account. This is fairly straight forward to create an account and verify your email and phone. Be sure to fill out the Stripe "Activate Your Account" information with your business details, tax ID, and bank routing information.

Adding a Client to Stripe 2. Next, you will want to create a test customer. You need to do this step before you can create a subscription. Click on [Customers] in the Stripe sidebar and then on the [+ Create your first customer] button.

3. Enter your customer details and click [Create Customer].

4. Then click on the customer's email to open up the customer detail window.

5. From this window, you can add a credit card, process a payment or add a subscription for your client. Let's first add a card by clicking on the [+ add a card] button.





6. Enter the credit card details and click on [More options].

7. Enter your client's name and billing address, then click [add card].





Charging a Client for a Subscription in Stripe: 8. Next, we will create a subscription. Click on [Subscriptions] in the sidebar and then the [+ New] button in the top right.





9. Add your customer to the subscription plan by clicking [+ Add a customer].

10. [Select] the customer you want to add to the subscription.





11. Next, click [+ Add a plan] to create your subscription.

12. Enter the details of your subscription plan including the price and interval. Then click [Create plan].





13. Finally, click on [Create Plan] to finish creating your subscription plan.

14. If you are adding a client to a subscription you've already created, you can click on [Add] to select your preferred subscription.





15. Remember to click [Create subscription] to charge your client and activate the subscription payments.





Processing a One-time Payment in Stripe: Go to the customer detail section (step 4 above) and then clicking on [Payment].

Enter the payment amount, description and click [Charge customer].
